We often stay here at various times of the year. We generally get the forest cottage because of the quietness, and the proximity to the pub and pool. When the kids are with us we prefer the beachfront units with their immediate access to the beach and campfires at night.....

Room Tip: If you want beachfront make it very clear what you want as there are beach view, and beach level.

Three of us rented a two bedroom cabin for four days. It was modern, clean and had everything needed for a great vacation. A short walk to the beach and Rathtrevor Park was a bonus. Close to local dive sites made this an ideal base for day trip dive outings.

This was our second stay at Beach Acres. We stayed in one of the private forest cottages which was peaceful and relaxing. The cottage was very clean, cozy and warm. The beach is beautiful and we enjoyed long walks along the sand each day.

I have stayed at Beach Acres several times, always in one of the beachfront cabins, and love it. Most of the beach cabins have two bedrooms, or one bedroom and bunk beds for kids, a complete and well-equipped kitchen, and a small living room with a sofa bed and wood-burning fireplace. Outside the front door are cement patios with dining tables and chairs, and further down towards the water, across an expanse of grass, are wooden chairs and a fire pit where you can enjoy a bonfire at night. The beach here is really great, right next to Rathtrevor provincial park, and very long and wide when the water is out. You can walk for what seems like miles along the sand if you're so inclined.
The resort area also has a number of forest cabins, up behind the beach, along with an older indoor pool, sauna, and hot tub, tennis courts, badminton and volleyball areas, and a children's play area. When we were there the hot tub was not hot, and the sauna was stone-cold, which was disappointing. If these amenities had been better, I would have given the resort a five star rating. An English style pub is also located on the property in a beautiful old home.

My family and I just spent a beautiful weekend in Parksville. The weather was perfect the beach was amazing, and the many attractions kept us busy. Beach Acres is in a great location and a very well maintained property. We stayed in one of the forest cottages, which was only a 5 min walk to the beach, and very private. We have three young children and they had so much fun! There is a playground, and an older indoor pool, which was okay but the hottub was kind of cold. There is a neat restaurant on site the Black Goose Inn, which is a beautiful old house! The food was so, so, but the setting is fantastic! We will go back for sure!

Room Tip: The forest cottages 50-60 aren't far from the beach and quiet!

I booked for the end of September to meet my daughter who lives on a neighboring island. Last minute her brother was able to join us.
When we arrived at dusk a deer crossed the path to our waterview townhouse.
We enjoyed the general location and surroundings as well as the peacefulness and the view.
The cabin itself was extra clean and we found everything we needed for our 3 day stay.
The only "complaint" we had was that we had no unobstructed view from the kitchen table at breakfast. But if you are there at summertime, you would sit at the table outside and that would be of no significance.
We would return there anytime.

Room Tip: The rooms were rather small and to get to the closet you had to squeeze alongside the bed. For a lon...

The proximity to Rathtrevor and the beach were the most important features , our expectations were exceeded, We will be back again next fall to enjoy the tranquility and beauty of the area but will plan to stay longer.
