Okay, this is just a little hole in the wall place, just a few booths and mostly a take out restaurant, but they make the BEST halibut and chips on Vancouver Island. Huge, tender pieces of halibut in a light crispy batter and hand cut Kennebec fries. Great homemade coleslaw and tartar sauce, ample servings. The service is prompt and simple, the place is plain but spotless, the food is great.
There are other things on the menu like popcorn shrimp and cod, but I'm a sucker for halibut - and nobody does halibut like these folks do.
Funny thing, any time I've been there a conversation was struck up amongst the other diners at different tables. It was like being a guest in someone's kitchen where a bunch of friends had been invited!
