Lively campsite. Well treed with mostly mature fir and some fairly mature cedar at this point. Interestingly the deciduous trees are very moss covered and dying off as a natural part of the cycle since this site is a loooong time post logging now. Still some huge stumps that remind us how big the original trees were. Nicely separated sites. VERY clean outhouses and there are showers at the lower site on the lake side of the highway. Short walk on very good trail to the Petroglyphs. Awesome historical art from another time.

Boat launch is good and the lake is crystal clear. Bring a mask and snorkel and maybe a crayfish trap! Still some left despite some invader Bass apparently reported to be depleting their numbers.

We have stayed at one of the five walk-in campsites next to the lake. Simply beautiful! Separated from the rest of the campground, quiet, close to big parking lot and to the hot showers which, I think, are provided mainly for day visitors. Nice lake to take a swim.

The huge water bomber, the first image in the description, is not accessible to the public!
You can't even get a view of it. We drove around for a half hour thinking we had the wrong location then saw a piece of the tail through a fence.

Not a place if you want a quiet relaxing vacation. The beach is very busy with lots of people coming and going. The boat launch is also very busy. Nice picnic site. Most sites are reservable and so you may only be able to stay one or two nights. Upper campsites less busy. make sure you take the walk to see the petroglyphs.

Fabulous lake, warm and loads of places to relax and swim. The lower campground has the sites jammed together with only some weeds between. The upper campground has plenty of space between sites and so much forest you can hardly see your neighbour. The down side is it is far from the lake. The real issue is the stink from the outhouses. We were in 49 across from an outhouse and the smell in mid August was overpowering. Even in the dark we could tell when someone opened the door from the smell. The other toilets were the same. The park operators need to deal with this to not ruin one of the best lakes in B.C.
