“Quiet and affordable”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2013

We stayed here in September to break up our trip from Vancouver to Tofino. We actually had to cancel our hotel last minute in August due to unforeseen circumstances and they allowed us to move our night to September with no extra charge which was awesome! And they are dog friendly which is awesome. Cute little place, nice and quiet, comfortable beds!

Thank you for your comments. We do have an ideal location for breaking up the trip to the coast; its such a beautiful drive that its nice to have a good rest so that you are not rushed and can enjoy the scenery. Its great to hear that you enjoyed everything and that you had your dog come along too -- a trip for the whole family!

Back at the Inn...another comfy night in the super beds led me to come home and upgrade my own!!
Restaurant is very good. Love the "smart start" breakfasts...wish I could make poached eggs the same as they do.
Dinner - The calamari starter is good, as is the "blackened" salmon and spinach main course salad. Like the fact that there's no pressure to order a big meal...you can mix and match courses as you want.

Room Tip: Very easy to find - turn off the highway, pass the hospital and it's about third on the right as...

Wow what a great compliment on the beds -- to have purchased one for your own home certainly describes the level of comfort . We are pleased that you thoroughly enjoy your stays with us along with the menu choices and quality in the dining room.

There was lots of (free) parking when we arrived and also a point to recharge your electrical car if you have one! We received a warm welcome by friendly staff, altho we arrived late at the restaurant was empty it was no problem what so ever to still have dinner The food was amazing, nice big portions, tasty and well presented, good value for money, the rooms were big and the beds extremely comfy! Large tv nice shower and everything nice and clean. It was a short stay for us but felt very much at home, unfortunately dint get to use the pool and hot tub but the pictures of them looked really nice! The staff provide lots of information on things to do and there are lots of brochures and papers around aswell as an atm (always handy!) It is nice and central and would recommend this hotel to anybody looking for a nice affordable hotel in this area!

This hotel was a great find on our return from The Pacific Rim National Park. Very clean, updated rooms HD tv and air conditioning and a fridge and microwave for our food. Very pretty and well maintained on the outside and friendly and professional on the inside. We had breakfast and dinner here too, both were good.

Room Tip: Stay near the Pool it is a great place to BBQ or sit and relax

The hotel is nice, attractive, and clean. The pool is very nice (outdoor, covered with a roof). However, when I checked I was charged an additional fee of about $9.50 that had not been disclosed when I booked or when I checked in. The desk clerk said it was some kind of municipal tourism fee and all the hotels charged it, but I have stayed in several motels in Port Alberni in the last few months, and none charged this fee. When I asked, the clerk also said the fee was collected and retained by the hotel, and was not a municipal tax. Just sounds like a hidden cost to me.

Thank you for staying with us and for providing us with your feedback. Our guests comments are important to us as we strive to exceed their expectation, while welcoming opportunities to enhance their stays. It is a pleasure to hear that overall you enjoyed your stay with us. I do apologize for the misunderstanding of the "Hidden Fee". The fee is a 2% Destination Marketing Tax put into affect by the Provincial Government and collected on behalf of properties offering accommodation. It is used to assist with funding of marketing efforts for Tourism British Columbia.

We stayed only one night in this hotel on the way to Ucluelet. It was all easy and uncomplicated check-in/check-out with friendly receptionist. The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. The swimming pool and jacuzzi was average. I suppose after swimming at Kitsilano pool I was shocked by the intense chlorine smell. However, this was the biggest draw back.

We stayed here one night on the way to Tofino. This was our first stay at this Inn.
Our room was on the 2nd floor and we were able to see our vehicle parked just below.
Check-in was easy, quick and friendly.
The room was clean and spacious.
When we requested towels for the pool from the front desk, we were told to use our room towels....I deferred as we would need those for showering the next day, so the clerk did leave the front desk to go get some.
The pool, which is something we always look for when booking a hotel/motel, was fantastic. Being covered, yet open air was a nice experience. The salt water was a nice change and the temperature was just right for adults and kids.
Unfortunately there was a party going on in the parking lot from about midnight until 4am. Our kids thankfully slept through it, however my husband and I did not. In retrospect, I should have called down to the front desk. When I mentioned it to the clerk in the morning, she was very apologetic and said that I definitely should have called as they do have security. She nicely offered a discount on the room as either breakfast vouchers or $40. off the room rate (I accepted the latter).
We would return to The Hospitality Inn.

We are pleased to hear that you thoroughly enjoyed the pool facilities and your accommodation. Our apologies for the disruptive night; this certainly is not a reflection of the quiet relaxing stay we wish for all our guests. As mentioned, we always welcome guests to advise us of such circumstances so that we can take immediate action. I am pleased to hear that the agent in the morning was able to offer compensation and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome your family back.
