“Kind of bland”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 30, 2012 via mobile

Had good reviews, and the owners are nice enough. However, the food was rather bland and soggy, especially the Pad Thai. And I've eaten a lot of Thai in a lot of cities.

“Fresh, Healthy Thai Food at its Best!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2012

We have been coming here for several years now and have never had a bad experience. The food is great quality and is made fresh with attention to the health benefits of cooking with herbs. Because the food is all made from scratch the service is a little slower, but is more relaxed and very friendly. It is a family run restaurant and the owners and staff are the best! Yupa even conducts cooking demos several times a year so you can see how she cooks various dishes that are on the menu, see first hand the cleanliness of the kitchen and experience Thai cooking with other patrons in a really fun atmosphere.

“Emphasis on quality”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 15, 2012

We've been here several times over the last couple of years, most recently to celebrate a birthday. The food is always fresh and flavourful and the service is attentive. This is a family-run establishment, so they don't have a lot of staff to crank out the food. As a result, there is an emphasis on quality. Many of the dishes can be made vegetarian, but they remain consistently flavourful. The location is a bit out of the way, with limited parking (it's best to park on a side street) and it does have a 'hole-in-the-wall' feel to it. In addition, the prices are more expensive than the average Thai restaurant so we don't eat there as often as we otherwise would.

“Flavourful find”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2012

Have been going on a regular basis to this restaurant for a few years now. The food is always fabulous---fresh, flavourful and filling. (And reheats well too) Love to begin with the healthy herb filled coconut soup (with prawns or chicken) on a cold winter night. My consistent favourite is the Christada Long Song---pork in peanut sauce with lots of crispy hot vegetables and the pineapple studded Rice Pilaf. My husband is more a fan of the Spicey (VERY) Rice with one of the red, green or yellow curries. The Drunken Prawns is a nice choice too. Service is very friendly in this family run place. The decor is eclectic. This relatively small hole in the wall is great for an intimate dinner or for bringing family and friends. Also does a take out business--order 30 minutes before pick up. Parking is silly but you can park on Kingsway during certain hours or park around the corner from the mosque or a 1/4 block behind the restaurant .
