“snowshoeing to Caribou cabin”
Reviewed April 15, 2014

If you like to snowshoe and don't mind a work out, plan a trip in the winter to Caribou Cabin. Situated on Mt. Revelstoke (elevation 1527m) the rustic cabin is able to accommodate up to 8.
It has a wood stove and the 'kitchen' is equipped with everything you need for an overnight stay. Just bring your sleeping gear and food and you're set! Open only in the winter.

“Rare Geology to Behold”
Reviewed November 18, 2013

Get a little handbook. You are about to encounter one of the older stratae of remaining rock from an era predating the formation of the Rockies, way, way older. Here, in Revelstoke, way up high, although the walk to the lookout is not strenuous at all, you get to view mountains and raw rock from that earlier era, and it does not occur very many times on the planet. It is a beloved park, and you may see some surprises, too. If you come during early summer, you may see some wild blue delphinium blooming! So flora fans are going to love it. Bring your binocs. You can see all the way around. And spend the day here. Chill out and take your time. We stayed at one may viewpoint for 90 minutes just watching the clouds clear away and it was incredible, the distance that spanned before us then. This park is a treasure of the northwestern hemisphere, and the world. Wear layers, because the weather shifts mysteriously.

pictures are awesome BUT------- should have some info. like--from where to where etc.
an example would be the picture of Revelstoke ---Revelstoke, looking W. from lookout at ? mt. Revelstoke. Otherwise they are just pictures and do not give travelers/ strangers any info.

“Spectacular!”
Reviewed October 11, 2013

If you are in the area because of your love for the wilderness you must go up here. It's well worth a day to climb the mountain and go hiking and stop at all the scenic overlooks and just take in all the spectacular raw beauty of going through a half dozen micro climates.
