We enjoyed this museum, there was a lot there for a small town. We especially liked the scavenger hunt for the kids, and the other interactive exhibits. The people working there were very friendly and were happy to answer my children's' questions. We went during the kids' spring break and were happy to find it open (several others weren't unfortunately).

I really enjoyed this museum. While the exhibits are not on a grand scale the vast majority of them were not behind glass and many were hands-on. I enjoyed the signs that talked about where the artifact was found in the surrounding area or who donated it. What I most enjoyed were the several invitations on the second floor to personalize the museum. Whether it was marking on a world map where you were from, adding colorful tiles to the window of the museum, or sharing personal experiences of the Columiba River these activities allow people to engage with the exhibits in a different way. I enjoyed this which is so different from the standard "look but don't touch" approach in larger museums.

This museum was pretty average, not big. If you're bored, check it out. Otherwise it's not that special.

This museum is housed in the old post office building so is truly historical. Great gift shop in front with mostly locally made, very original, unique gifts. Museum is very interesting - well worth the time.
