We were so pleasantly surprised after we picked this hotel on our drive from Whistler to Revelstoke. We didn't have a reservation because we had a change of driving plans, so were very happy that they had a vacancy. The very nice person on the phone told us all about the hotel and all the front desk staff was equally friendly. We were booked into a room overlooking the front of the hotel, and after we saw the BACK of the hotel which had spectacular mountain views, we asked if there was a room available with a view. The front desk did everything they could to make us comfortable and our new room was on the second floor with a huge balcony, comfortable bed and bedding, bathrobes and stunning mountain views for only a few dollars more. We also had dinner here which was great. The lobby looks like a mountain lodge and is beautifully appointed. This was a great find for a last minute choice...actually, for any choice. Loved it. It is also a mile or so out of city center so was nice and quiet.

Welcoming hotel with imposing entrance lobby and public facilities.Large comfortable room with huge bathroom. As its location is slightly out of town we had breakfast and the evening meals on our 2 night stay.Although perhaps a little pricy [as you expect from a hotel ]the standard of catering was excellent, cooked to order and exceeded our expectations. Would stay here again and certainly consider this chain of hotels for future stays elsewhere. It must also be fantastic in winter.

We booked this hotel as a break in the journey from Banff to Whistler.
Got a great deal on this hotel so did not expect too much, but what an unexpected little gem.

Great location above the town, just off the Trans Canada Highway on its own road, ample free parking.
Quick check-in from reception, Loved the lobby area as it has a high vaulted ceiling with log fire, albeit not lit in september. Great terrace with hot tub and brilliant views.

Room was huge, two queen beds, large bathroom, TV etc.

Good food in the restaurant, had an afternoon snack, evening meal and breakfast.

If your looking for a stopover or a few nights in a nice hotel, stay here.

I read the reviews on here and for the most part went there with quite high expectations. On every level those expectations were met except for one, it’s not close to any amenities as it is located on the outskirts of Revelstoke.

Check-in was seamless and the staff extremely friendly. I had a standard room with two queen beds on the second floor of the hotel. Surprisingly I ended up with a mountain view room! It offered a spectacular view over the hotel patio and the wilderness located on the back of the hotel. The room was in immaculate condition, it was clean and comfortable. The bed sheets were clearly upgraded. Free wireless internet was also available, an added bonus!

The hotel facilities were quite good considering the small size of the place, they offered room service, spa facilities and an on site restaurant. The room service menu prices were quite reasonable. Ample parking is available in front of the hotel for cars and campers. Unfortunately there isn’t anything within walking distance of the hotel which means you’ll need to drive to go into Revelstoke itself to look around.

Check-out was just as seamless as check-in and I can’t express enough how friendly and down to earth the staff was. If I pass through Revelstoke again and need a night, I’d stay here again with no second thought.

Because of my high status with Hilton, Starwood, and IHG, I rarely stay at hotels which are not part of this group, but we actually had to stay at three on this Canadian road trip, because there are no such properties in Jasper, Banff, or Revelstoke, and I have to say that this was the best of the three. Perhaps because I redeemed Bank of America World Points for this property, our room was next to the ice machine, but its noise didn't bother us, and our room had a beautiful view. The hotel is strangely located on an awkward road only separated from the TransCanada Highway by two rows of trees, and far from the town and its conveniences. Facing the other way, our room certainly had no highway noise. I don't know about the other side, but I doubt there was too much noise.
The rooms were all clean, comfortable, and quiet. The hotel had everything one would expect of a modern chain (Coast is a small hotel chain), including smart furnishings, flat-screen TV, free high-speed internet, and some niceties such as an extra sink outside the bathroom, and both an indoor and an outdoor hot tub (with a nice view). I strongly suspect the views are the best in town. The restaurant prices were a bit high, so we ate in town. The only thing I didn't like, which was a bit weird, was that we were asked for "vouchers" when we checked in. Our hotel was prepaid with points, so there was no "voucher" to give, although I did print up the receipt, which the receptionist seemed to like for some reason. Sometimes tripadvisor rankings can be a bit misleading, but in this case I suspect this hotel truly does deserve its top billing.

We stayed for one night on our way to Calgary with our dog. The room faced the back of the hotel (nice and quiet and private backing onto forest with grassy area in between). Window opened which we like. Beds were comfy and we had a great sleep. We did not eat at the hotel, so no opinion there. Only drawback was lack of amenities in the room - no shower cap. When I went to front desk @ 6:30 to ask for a shower cap - no one was there - and papers with names of guests were visible and readable to anyone who came to the front desk - bad form for privacy. There were only 2 bath towels for 2 people - I think you need at least 4 - if woman washes hair - there go two towels. I showered and got my hair wet. Other than that, I would stay there again. Great if travelling with pet.

For Revelstoke this is about the best hotel around. It has some good things going for it such as 2 hot tubs - one inside, one outside. Very quiet location away from the town. Best to get a room on backside of hotel just in case a tour bus decides to depart early morning. The grounds and scenery were beautiful, although the balcony view from our room was ruined by the often present rain clouds of Revelstoke. We didn't use the restaurant but most reviews were glowing. A little pricey for a family meal however. We had a deluxe queen room. It was nothing spectacular but it had a small fridge and second sink outside the washroom which was handy with 4 people trying to get ready for the day. Beds were comfortable.
On the downside we found the air conditioner to be especially loud and would wake us up each time it clicked on/off. Being away from town it makes for a short drive 5-10 min to restaurants and shops. It would have been nice if this hotel had a pool. It might justify the price more - although it seems all places in Revelstoke are over-priced. Perhaps a shortage of accommodation overall.
