A rather old film shows you how they clear snow from the mountains and avoid avalanches. Some useful information on the local area. Free entry if you have a Parks Canada pass.

“Interesting stop if you're passing through...”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

We enjoyed a break in our drive at the centrism which gives a good history of the pass and the use of guns to clear avalanche threats, even to this day. It's also a great place to get some nice photos.

It would once have been an amazing place to stay when the hotel next door was open, I'd go out of my way to stay there if it reopened. The view from the spa would be breathtaking!

“surprisingly fascinating even for a non-machine lover”
Reviewed September 28, 2013

When you stand at the actual pass and look around you, it's hard not to be humbled by the work it took to get people and goods moving through that terrain. Fascinating history!

“Worth A Stop”
Reviewed September 26, 2013

Enjoyed the old video detailing how the park staff dealt with avalanche threats along the highway during the winter.

“Small museum but not worthy the entry fee”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

We had park passes so entry was free. The small museum is worth just about that. However, it is not worth paying any admission. Its nice but not a destination.
