Glad we went to see this. VERY well set up. VERY educational.
Note: You go through a check point, you cannot take cameras or bags, purses into the facility. Noted that some tourists did have their dogs on the premises, so that was good to see they were allowed on a hot day. Recommend you see this.

“Take the time”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

A little ways out of town, but what an education. We especially liked the model of the canadian mountains and their relaed riverways and dams that was on the top of the dam.

“revelstoke dam visitor centre”
Reviewed July 18, 2012

in the middle of nowhere this great dam which services much of BC - an easy visit of such a great attraction - you can view and read many things as well as go under ground and then up an elevator to view out from the top of the dam viewing area - unfortunately you can't go on the actual dam or take pictures inside but its awesome - if there is high water they may have the gate open to let out some water - we missed it by a couple weeks - it is currently only at 4/6 of capacity with the 5th turbine in progress.

“Short but neat”
Reviewed June 24, 2012

The price is right, around $6 per person to see the dam. We happened to be here when they were releasing water (apparently hasn't happened for 15 years) and it was rushing down. This is my first visit but it was very neat and informative. Very short - not a lot to do other than see the dam but its cool!

“A "dam" good visit!”
Reviewed May 27, 2012

The visitor centre gives a really interesting insight into how the dam was built, its workings and to the use of hydro electric power generation along the Columbia River.
The self guided tour is well worth the small charge.
