“Something different...”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 17, 2013

We were overnighting in Revelstoke and discovered that, on main street, there are many interesting and appealing restaurants. However, we saw Benoit's Wine Bar situated about a half a block off the main street and decide to "drop in" for a glass of wine before going somewhere for dinner ($9 - $10/glass so a bit more than we usually like to pay but...!). First of all, I like anything with a European flavour and the pictures/decor were from or about France- my favourite country to visit- so we were immediately attracted. As it was late afternoon, the wine bar was not busy and we had a wonderful visit with Benoit himself! We decided to have a little "tapas" which was delicious and satisfied us enough to skip supper. We sat up at the bar even though there was a new patio at the back- I'm a bar stool guy, I guess. The surrounding table tops were all milled locally and we were lucky enough to meet the man who did that- right at the bar, of course!! Drop in for something a little different. After all, how can you go wrong with a guy from France who marries a gal from Saskatchewan!

“French and fantastic!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 5, 2013

We really enjoyed our evening at this fabulous bistrot - delicious wine and cheese plate! Benoit was a delight to meet; sharing his knowledge of the wine we sampled and selected made our visit such a pleasure. We felt transported to France - congratulations Benoit!!

“$$ but nice”

Very nice owner with a lot of knowledge about wine. Very good food served, but it was very pricy. Wine was delicious but around 9 dollar a glass.

“a taste of France in the BC's heart!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2013

I was really surprised to find this true french bistrot in the middle of sledneck city. I went to this place all the winter season long and i was never disappointed. Benoit and his staff are friendly and passionate. The only place in town where you can eat a cheese fondu like in the Alps! You can't miss that! Here, no loud music or drunk people but mostly the cosiest place to have a drink in Revelstoke.
