Stayed 3 enjoyable nights. Very spacious room, spotlessly clean and well sized bathroom.
Receptionist's friendly and knowledgeable on the surrounding area. Breakfast was taken in light and airy room with a typical continental breakfast provided. A hot breakfast can be provided at a cost.
Problem with the aircon in our room not working, we just switched the plug to another electrical socket, however the electrical system in our 2nd floor bedroom needs reviewing by a electrical engineer as it appears easy to overload the system.
We enjoyed our time in Revelstoke, especially exploring along the length of Revestoke Lake, would stay in this hotel again if in the area

So nice to hear you enjoyed yourselves at the Regent. Being a heritage property, we do have some electrical challenges.
There are advantages to being right downtown Revelstoke; everything is within walking distance; shops, restaurants, columbia river walk, grizzly plaza, etc

I am glad you experienced the beauty Revelstoke has to offer on the Revelstoke lake; it sure is a scenic spot.
We hope you return soon.

Our group of 18 motorcyclists arrived after a long day on the road to find this wonderful hotel with huge rooms, great restaurants and amazing service. I was a little disappointed that they didn't have a swimming pool, they do have a large jacuzzi spa. We ate both dinner and breakfast at the restaurants in the hotel and were extremely satisfied with both food and service-remember this is 18 guys without their wives-not easy to please either. Highly recommend this hotel for a family or a large group. I found out that Canadian Mountain Holidays, the heliskiing tour operator, is located in the hotel and put their guests up in this hotel. that speaks volumes as to the quality of the hotel and level of service you can expect.

Thank you for your positive review. You are right, we don't have a swimming but do offer complimentary passes to the Revelstoke Aquatic Center; just 5 blocks away. I am glad to hear you enjoyed your dinner in our 112 Restaurant.
Come back and visit soon.
Once again, thank you for your review.

We were passing through and stayed for 1 night. We booked last minute online and they did give us a discount because there was not a good view from the room for which they apologized upfront. Very clean, comfortable and in a perfect location. Very friendly staff, family friendly and live entertainment around the corner on the little plaza. Shops and restaurants are all at walking distance and you're right in the heart of the Rockies.

Thank you for your review. We appreciate your input. As you mentioned, we are in the heart of downtown Revelstoke; walking distance to the all shops and restaurants. In the summer months, there is live entertainment every night in the plaza. I hope you experienced it.
Thanks again for your review. We look forward to your return

We booked this hotel over the phone to ensure that we were getting the room type and accommodations that we required (the website was limited in making special requests). Our party consisted of 3 adults, one of which was elderly with limited mobility, and a toddler. Thus we required an accessible room, that had separate bedrooms with a separate living area (so we could put the toddler to bed early), and that had a fridge in the room (for the toddler's special lactose free milk). We were assured over the phone that we would have all of these requests met. When we arrived were were very disappointed.
The hotel is quite old, though it has been renovated. The room we were assigned was on the "first floor". The elevator took us up one floor but then we had to climb half a flight of stairs to the room. We then found that the room was quite small. It had 2 bedrooms but only one bedroom door. And no seating area. The only bathroom was in one of the bedrooms so people sleeping in the other bedroom would have to disturb their travel-mates by crossing through the room to get to the bathroom. Also, there was no fridge.
When we asked about the fridge the person at the desk said that the hotel was too old for the electrical to be able to support having a fridge in each room. She then said we could keep our stuff in the common fridge in the breakfast room. Um, yeah... no supervision... no way to keep other people from using our stuff... no way to get our stuff in the middle of the night if need be... that was the deal breaker. We left and went to the Days Inn instead.
When we checked out the manager got involved. She said that the person at the desk should have offered us a kitchenette suite (which, by the sounds of it, was what we had originally booked). However, the kitchenette suites are in a separate building (like a portable trailer) out the back of the hotel (in a sketchy parking lot full of bikers). So, we would essentially not be in the hotel. She also told us that they didn't like to open those rooms unless the hotel itself was full.

It is very upsetting you had such a dissatisfying experience at the Regent. As you mentioned we are on Heritage Hotel, built in 1932. Being a heritage property, our electrical wiring has limitations; for this reason we do not have fridges or coffee machines in any of our rooms. It is unfortunate that this was not told to you when making your reservation.
We do have 7 units with full kitchen available, located directly across the street from the hotel. This is a 4 story building, and I don't believe it looks like a portable trailer; In fact I believe it to be a very nice building with ample parking.
Once again, thank you for your review. I hope you will give us another chance to redeem ourselves.

Stayed at this hotel a few years ago and was very impressed. Rebooked for one night this July as we were passing through Revelstoke and was not disappointed. The hotel room was still amazing. It's in a quiet, downtown location right next to Grizzly Plaza where there is live entertainment every night in the summer. Pub in the hotel was convenient as was the restaurant. Food was great. The person at the front desk was so friendly. Continental breakfast in the morning is a great value. Coffee, juices, cereal, toast, bagels....just enough variety to start your day. Would stay again
