“comfortable night”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

This is quite a large property and was completely full the night we were there. The room, on the second floor, was very nice with comfortable beds and a good TV. It is a convenient location for exploring Mt Revelstoke National Park. The continental breakfast was a nice bonus and was the only one we got during our 2-week stay in the Rockies. The neighbourhood is quiet and a few blocks from Revelstoke's small downtown.

This place was the worst place I have ever stayed in. I'm not kidding when I say it looks like nothing has changed since the '70's. Pealing lino in the bathroom, pink sink and tub, which I wouldn't even step into. The a/c was in the kitchen and sounded like a diesel engine. The unit was blocked by a wall, so you didn't get the cool air in the bedrooms. Just horrible, so glad we only needed to stay the night. Oh and the beds felt like they didn't have a mattress, but a piece of wood instead.

We picked this hotel because of it's location. We were on the way to Calgary. It is within walking distance to the town. The room was clean and the bed was super comfy! The pillows were great too. This is a non smoking hotel however there are table with ashtrays right outside the door so sometimes the smoke comes your way. The breakfast was nothing special at all. More and more hotels are upping their continental breakfast by adding waffles, boiled eggs, etc. There was really only a choice of bran muffins, toast or cereal, apples, milk, tea, coffee and tang(orange juice). The town of Revelstoke had the main street closed of for a free concert. People were dancing in the streets and the band was great. All in all, the town is worth walking through. We listened to the music from the sidewalk of the restaurant where we had dinner.

Room Tip: I don't think it makes a lot of difference but we had a room on the upper floor.

My son and I stayed two nights at the Alpine Inn and Suites. The room was comfortable, and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The only glitch was an up and down wi-fi signal, but we were there to hike the trails and enjoy the views, so that was a minor thing.

We were in Revelstoke for five days and booked here primarily for the kitchen facilities and two bedrooms for three adults. The staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating, A plus is the free internet. The location is good and places to eat and shop are within a reasonable walking distance. The rooms ae large, but the furnishings are showing their age. One the negative side, the beds are very, very hard and it was difficult to get comfortable. The bathroom is dated as well as the kitchen area, and could use a makeover. The rooms would benefit from a fresh coat of paint and some new carpeting, The lighting is marginal and we had to have the kitchen light on to read. The entire facility would really benefit from some rennovation or it is in danger of degteriorating. Given what we paid fro five nights, it is a tossup as to value for rate paid.

Room Tip: Maybe some of the smaller rooms and one bedroom suites are in better shape.

We stopped overnight in Revelstoke during our drive from Vancouver to Calgary just after Christmas.
This motel was quite full and the duty person was very friendly and helpful. The one bedroom suite we were in is quite spacious, simply furnished and showed its age. Maybe it was Christmas as our rate was like a major hotel chain. The internet was included..
The surprised came when my wife turned over the bed and found food crumbs under the pillows. We called the desk and the duty person came immediately to change the sheets.

We stayed here for New Years and plan to stay again next year. The manager, Wilson, was great. Really friend. Knew us all by name and gave us a really nice discount on our room because it smelled a bit the first night from burned food (the smell wasn't bad and didn't last long anyways).
The rooms are really big with a nice functional kitchen. It was in a nice quiet location.
Definitely recommend it for your next trip to Revelstoke.
