“Pretty Good!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2012

We stayed here for 3 nights for $69 plus taxes. Considering high cost of hotels across Canada, this definitely was a good deal. Since we were out most of the time it was good place to crash for night. It is an old motel that is gradually being renovated. Our room was the renovated one with a fridge. Some rooms had microwave but the room fittings were old. Therefore, you might not like all the rooms. Parking is complimentary and the motel also has an attached restaurant and bar that we didn't use. Our room also had a coffee maker and surprisingly the coffee brand (Nabob) was top notch for a motel of this type. Otherwise usually even good hotels these days serve you coffee that hardly tastes better than muddy water.

Our fridge stopped working and they sent someone to fix it as soon as possible. Overall, it was a good motel to crash in. Since Revelstoke is a small town, location is not such a big deal as most hotels are in the downtown area.

Room Tip: You might like to take a look at the room before selecting one because of inconsistent quality of on...

1. pluses: bed & linens were fine, room cleanliness ok, location:walk to town & swimming pools(*complimentary for hotel guests), mountainview,) lovely friendly helpful staff.

2. minuses: shower /bathroom lacks extractor fan, too few electrical outlets to use micro/fridge/TV at the same time, poor curtains (light at 445am!), pillows need replacing,
WiFi intermittant/unavailable 4hrs, hallway carpets need a good clean, price cdn$113 sans breakfast: approx. 1/3 OVER comparable 'basic' accommodation = no 'deals' here & less than average rating

3. super friendly & great attitude of staff pulls up the rating to 'average'

We stay at this hotel for 2 nights in June 2012 on the way from Kelowna to camping on Banff. It's a good hotel, reasonable price with free breakfast and free entry pass for swimming, hotpool, souna and steam at city recreation centre where just 2 blocks away from hotel. The hotel is located in town centre. 2 Queenbeds room is reasonable size and clean. Heater, air con, TV, microwave, working desk and fridge are provided in room. Staff is very nice and helpful-thanks. Paid for CAD 78 per night is great rate for those facilities.

There is no coin laundry service in place but there is coin laundry service shop in walkable distance.

Revelstoke is small town where surrounding by mountains. Beautiful weather. People is always nice and friendly.

If your looking for a good price and a descent hotel this is a good hotel it's well located downtown and there's good restaurant to choose from only minute walk away. Only 7$ for continental breakfast and check out is at 11am. I notice renovation are being done in the Lobby meaning there keeping up on the maintenance :) if they keep the price the same I'll keep coming back.

We decided to stay at the powder springs hotel instead of crashing on friends couches, I had always stayed here on past trip to Revy and thought it would be a good idea. WRONG! We were awoken by a bus load of drunk young adults arriving at 1:30 am, the hotel had strategically placed our room right beside the stair well, therefore every guest arriving at 1:30 am travelled passed our heads, not to mention the party that continued in the room beside us. In the morning we were offered free drinks for the hassle of the night before. WOW thanks. Free drinks does make up for a night of no sleep!! I will never ever stay at this hotel ever again. So be aware if your looking for a party this is the place, if your actually looking for somewhere to sleep I would look else where.

The trip started with 1 meter of new powder and 'Fly' the Powder Springs Guide took our group for a once in a life time ski tour of Revelstoke Ski Resort. The Powder Springs staff helped us care for our tired and sore bodies in their private hot tub. Since my last trip to Powder Springs. The rooms are all getting upgraded. The Last Drop is the best bar and bar food in town. The Chef and bartenders are great and go out of their way to make sure you are having the best experience possible. The prices for the rooms and in The Last Drop are very reasonable.

Just back from my fifth skiing vacation at Revelstoke BC and my fifth stay at the Powder Springs Inn. The mountain is a no nonsense skier's mecca and PSI is the perfect home away from home for serious skiers. Manager Emma and her staff. do everything they can to make you feel like family. Hearty breakfasts everyday will keep you well fueled for the slopes and, after a libation or two in PSI's hot tub, dinner drinks and live music with a mix of guests and locals at the on premises "Last Drop Pub" will have you feeling like a local in no time.

Be sure to hook up with Fly or Michelle PSI's resident guides who will show you around the mountain and take you to the good stuff even days after a storm.

I've skied lots of places and stayed in every imaginable kind of inn. None can hold a candle to my favorite, Powder Springs Inn in Revelstoke, when it comes to value, warmth , friendliness and making you stay special.
