Would it be Indian or German food? .. that was the big decision to make when we sat down and looked at the menu!! Yikes, that's quite a contrast of flavours!!
Our server was very helpful though, and explained the restaurant's various offerings, and especially his particular role in the preparations of the German fare. And even though we believed he was pushing "his thing" a little, we enjoyed his very welcoming and friendly approach.
And as we were travelling, we thought it might be best to stay away from the hot & spicy Indian fare (though we were really tempted by the wonderful aroma's from the kitchen, which were so enticing!!), and went with the schnizel, served with German fried potatoes and/or spatzle (we opted for the latter, the server's creation!!). We felt the German fare was a 'safer' choice, and it worked out just fine.
We much-enjoyed our conversations with the chef, and our server -- both very friendly and welcoming hosts!! It was a casual and fun dining experience, and if we're ever able to do it again some time, we do hope to try the Indian fare.
A great little dining spot in Revelstoke.
