This hotel is new, nice, and a true ski in ski out experience at the base of an amazing ski mountain. The suites are nice sized and the look and feel modern. Yet it does not quite make the top cut. The furnishings are just ok and the rooms lack sizable dressers ( we had to store our clothes on the floor!). The staff inexperienced and the amenities not sufficient for the size of the hotel. ( the hot tubs were always overcrowded, etc). Yet, if you come to ski you will be happy

The Sutton Place Hotel offers many fantastic features: the staff are friendly, the view is incredible, the restaurant and bar have good food, the hot tubs are relaxing after skiing and being at the base of Revelstoke Mountain Resort doesn't hurt.

If you go, make sure you get a room on the side of the hotel NOT facing the ski hill, as many of the rooms, at least in building 1, are extremely noisy at night. The cats groomed the hill directly in front of our room until almost 1:00 in the morning and then a loud engine attached to the gondola ran loudly all night. Honestly, I'd rather have stayed at a hotel by the highway, as it would have been quieter and I may have had the chance to sleep.

However, if you get a room away from the constant acoustic barrage I think the stay here would be lovely.

Room Tip: NOT facing the ski hill

My wife and I stayed at the Sutton Place Hotel in Revelstoke for a weekend away in the mountains in September. The hotel is part of a ski resort which wasn't open at the time. The hotel forms the cornerstone of the existing and future developments. We were extremely impressed from the moment we arrived. The desk staff were extremely helpful, giving us clear directions to parking and a map of the (very large) property. The room itself was simply amazing, the quality of a very nice luxury condo, which is what it is during ski season. Clean, well appointed and with everything you could want including a nice little balcony and fireplace. I'm sure it costs a good chunk of money to stay there during the winter but the rate was incredibly reasonable for a stay during the summer. We'd gladly stay here again during for a trip to the mountain parks.

We stayed a night here in early September. We were doing a lot of camping so booked this hotel just to have a night in comfort - we were not disappointed. The room was huge and really well furnished - the beds were really comfortable, the bath was nice and big and the hotel was quiet. Not sure why but we seemed to be the only guests at the time. At least it seemed that way. Either way it was a very relaxing stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and the box breakfasts were really handy. The only possible drawback is the location - not really walking distance to the town - but its only a short drive away.

This was an amazing experience for a tired business traveler. The scenery was beautiful. The rooms top notch and contained everything. I did my laundry in the suite this night I arrive. The box breakfast was delicious. All staff were friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I could not ask for a better sleep - the bed was phenomenal.

Room Tip: As for a view of mountains . . . there are plenty of amazing rooms.

They gladly arranged to clean room without harsh cleaners or scents to accommodate my chemical sensitivities!

The room was clean and well decorated, nice kitchen and appliances.

Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Loved the coffee machine in lobby area and underground parking.

Looking forward to staying again.

It will be nice when finished. But rude staff at check in, we stayed in sept when there was no bar or restaurant open the changing rooms at pool had no locks. I had to call front desk at midnight because toilet door in room was jammed, it happens all the time clerk said. So fix it . Could do with courtesy bus to get into town as it is a twenty dollar taxi ride there and back.
