Unfortunately our roadtrip was cancelled due to natural disaster in Calgary but we made an online booking at Alpenrose with a non-refundable policy. I contacted Lisa hoping that they would understand our situation and they agreed to refund us fully. Even though we haven't stayed there yet, it is obvious Alpenrose hosts are gracious and understanding, and that the glorious reviews must be true.

On another note, if you are travelling with children younger than 5 years old, be sure to book directly with Alpenrose since they usually don't accept children under 5.

We will recommend them and will stay there when we plan a future roadtrip to Calgary from Vancouver.

Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness in doing a review for us regarding your cancellation. We were very busy with cancellations and rescheduling guests stays and so it was so heartwarming to hear your appreciation. I do try to live my life by the golden rule of treat others how you want to be treated. Life happens! Seeing our neighbors in Alberta go through such a crisis with flooding, making reservation changes and cancellations without issue was at least one thing we could do.
I most certainly hope to meet your little family on another occasion.
Kind regards,
Lisa

Can's say enough good things about our stay. From superbly clean room to individual diet breakfast choices - everything was great, Lisa was the most gracious host, recommended places in town to visit, good restaurants, etc. Brightened our trip through the rainy Rockies

All i can say was alpenrose was Amazing!! My Fiancé and I stayed at the Alpenrose BnB in the middle of our snowboarding trip through Canada in January 2013 We had mates living in town who recommended these guys so we took there advice and couldnt of had it any better. Lisa and Frank where the nicest people to stay with on our trip and went out of there way to help with everything they could. even picking us up from the grey hound and Frank giving us a small tour of the small but beautiful town of Revie. and lisa with her delicious meals. now to make this short and sweet, amazing cooked meals, hot tub, comfy bed, cool dog, close to the ski hill and soooo easy to get the bus into town or to the slopes. plus a heap of little touches that are just so good, they really think of everything. We are so grateful and lucky we stayed with this wonderful couple. Highly recommend staying with these guys.

we'll be back one day.
Scott.

It's so nice to read your review and remember you folks...It was our pleasure to assist with a lift from Greyhound...I'm glad you mentioned the ease of getting around Revelstoke from our place without a vehicle as it is very helpful for future guests to hear this first hand on the local bus service. The city bus and ski bus shuttle do run right by our door with the official stop down the road.:)

We had the pleasure of staying at the Alpenrose Bed and Breakfast for 3 nights in early May of 2013. What a beautiful little corner of the world! The rooms are well cared for and tastefully decorated. Little touches like chocolates on the pillows and lemon ice water next to your bed show the attention to detail. Our hosts Lisa and Frank made us feel so welcome during our stay. They are such nice people and make you feel like your comfort and enjoyment is their number 1 priority even when they have other guests staying there. There is a nice selection of breakfasts ranging from a yogurt parfait to homemade waffles. Mmmmmm! Everything we ate was so delicious... not to mention the coffee, teas and hand crafted baked goods! We felt so spoiled!! If you are travelling to Revelstoke I highly recommend you check out the Alpenrose B&B.

We cannot recommend Alpenrose B&B highly enough! It does not feel like a B&B, but more like a home from home.Lisa & Frank opened their home to us and made us feel extremely welcome. The bedroom was fab, the bed was so comfortable and not to mention the little touches like the pull down service, chocolates on the pillow, ice water beside the bed and a good dvd selection. The hot tub at the back was just amazing, it was the perfect way to relax that evening after a long drive. The breakfast was fabulous, with plenty of options. Most of all, it was Lisa and Franks hospitality and outstanding service that really made our stay in Revelstoke. We will be back!

We had the pleasure of staying at Alpenrose B&B this past weekend. Frank and Lisa truly opened their home to us. The bed was great, super quiet location, breakfasts were amazing and to top it off, home baking (apple pie, rhubarb pie, carrot cake and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies). We even got fresh powder on Saturday which made for the most incredible ski day of my life, and I've been skiing a very long time! Location is great, you are about a 4 minute drive to the ski hill. And they have a very secluded hot tub out back. Would absolutely recommend staying here!

Thanks for your review and for choosing to stay here with us at Alpenrose Revelstoke. Our snow on Revelstoke Mountain Resort easily wins people over and we work hard to do the same. We host many guests from our neighboring province and appreciate the referrals your review brings. Thanks so much for taking the time to review your stay here. It was a pleasure to have your group. Perhaps we'll see you in the summer for golf at the beautiful Revelstoke Golf Club in the beautiful setting next to the Columbia River- just a 10 minute drive away.

My girlfriend and I spent three nights at the Alpenrose in March during which time Lisa and Frank made us feel very at home. The room was lovely, clean and warm and the ski hill is only a few minutes away, Enjoyed the fantastic breakfast in the morning and coming back to hot tub in the evening. Would recommend to anyone and hope to be back in the summer!

Thanks for your kind review... Revelstoke is a wonderful 4 season destination. The best time to view the "Meadows in the Sky" wild flower trail atop Mt Revelstoke National Park is the last week in July - first couple weeks in August. Of course this varies depending on how much snow there has been over winter. During the months of July and August the City of Revelstoke hosts live music every evening in the town square with seating where locals and tourists meet and mingle or enjoy a bite of dinner at nearby restaurants with patio seating. It's really lovely and we are so glad you plan to return to experience another season in our beautiful community. It would be our honor and pleasure to host your return stay. Book early July and August are very busy here!
