We actually switched to this hotel, from the Regent hotel, because it was a much better hotel and a better deal in price. We were even upgraded to a kitchenette suite, for the same price, because a family member was older and unable to do the stairs to the second level.
The hotel was clean, spacious, quiet, and comfortable. We were worried that the nearby train tracks would be noisy but we didn't hear anything in our room even though trains run through town frequently.
A decent breakfast is included in the price of accommodations. It consisted of cereal, pastries, bagels, toast, waffles, fruit, and boiled eggs.
The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful with all of our requests and questions. Upon seeing that we had a toddler traveling with us one staff member even suggested that we take her to a nearby park. A few blocks from the hotel is a very nice, good sized park with slides, swings, etc. and lots of trees and grass. There's even an outdoor swimming pool, but it was closed when we were there in the evening.
The hotel is also only a block away from a Pizza & Steak house, and a quaint little restaurant that offers a limited menus of hamburgers, fries, sandwiches, and icecream.
I stopped by this hotel for my family trip from Calgary to Vancouver. If you are just looking for a good nights rest from driving look no further. The rooms were clean, check in was a breeze and the beds were new and very comfortable. The breakfast was also good. The other hotels in town were either too expensive from all of the extra amenities they offered (upwards of $200 and I did not wish to spend that as I was only staying the night) or really cheap (but uninviting/not so clean) If you are staying in Revelstoke as a rest point between a long trip look no further, bar none best bang for your buck in town if you just want a simple good nights rest.
