We travel through Salmon Arm often, and this was our first stay at Podollan. The reception staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room was impressive and clean with a view of the lake, and overnight was quiet. We were offered discounts at the restaurant however opted to eat out. And the price was comparable to others in the area. We are somewhat picky when it comes to hotels, and are generally quite disappointed if a hotel looks good online and then offers mediocre rooms and old decor. This was not the Podollan. We would stay there again in a heartbeat! Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Main hotel offers a view of the lake (second building behind is motel-style, with doors directly to the units).

Stayed a Saturday night on the way to Calgary, room & pool were good. Thought we had breakfast early on Sunday before we head out. Went to restaurant with my 2 teenagers around 8:45 or so in the mprning & my wife was checking out. It was busy with only one person waiting on tables. It took awhile before our orders were taken. Sat till after 9:30, almost 45 minutes later, finally decide we had to get going. Left without breakfast. Very disappointed. Went a few blocks away & had breakfast at Tim Hortons, in & out within 20 minutes.

We are pleased you enjoyed your room and British Columbia’s largest free form heated outdoor swimming pool. Our hotel is a popular destination for travellers on a route between Vancouver and Calgary. We apologize for the delay at breakfast and for the inconvenience. One of our servers had a family emergency which resulted in the shortage of staff. We have taken measures to avoid a similar situation in the future. We hope to see you again.

One of the most enjoyable pools in BC. What a gem. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff is very pleasant and the town is the same. Golf in every direction with in 30 minutes. Great weekend get away even if you live nearby. Very affordable

Room Tip: The walk out room to the pool worked for my wife and I. It was fun

Ordered a hamburger meal and it was burnt, booked ahead and asked for a poolside walkout room and upon arrival was given a 3rd floor room, had to insist on poolside on arrival. We were then given room.
Liked pool and coupon for restaurant, had a clean room, well insulated from pool area sound

We are delighted it worked out for you in the beautiful poolside room with private patio to sit, relax, enjoy the gardens, water features and pool. With the hotel being extremely busy and with guests extending their stays, on occasion room allocation can be challenging. We are currently offering all our hotel guests a voucher for breakfast and discount coupon for dinner. Our restaurant is reviewed as one of the best BC restaurants with a fresh local organic menu. Thank you for taking the time to write.

We stayed in the express building and our experience was horrible. The base boards had dirt on them that looked like it had been there for years. The walls had splats over them, like they were never washed down. The sink was clogged with hair that was not ours. The carpet was not vacuumed while we were there (5 nights). There were supposed to be housecoats as mentioned in the website, nothing! And the WiFi was hit ans miss and when it was working it was weak. Our friends traveling with us stayed in the main building and had a great experience. It also looked updated, unlike our room. The pool was awesome but no shallow end for young children. Great landscaping though for the kids to enjoy while we had a cheese and wine night on the outside patio area above the pool.

Room Tip: Stay far away from the express building and ask for a pool side room.

We pride ourselves on detail especially as a winner of the Trip Advisor Certification of Excellence. When you arrived after your long drive and the stove was not working in your room, our General Manager was pleased to personally escort you to a new room and check the stove and other amenities, which met your expectations. We regret that subsequently the situation did not satisfy your needs. We are pleased you enjoyed our pool, the largest one of its shape in British Columbia; a refreshing treat for children and adults on a hot day.
