Had lunch for four here on Canada Day. Restaurant was busy but not full. It appeared they only had two servers, a bartender and a hostess working. Service was slow and inattentive. We weren’t acknowledged by our server for ten minutes after being seated and then it took over an hour to get our food. Food quality and presentation was nice, but $42 plus tip for, two entrees and one coke seems a bit steep to me.

I thought the menu was too ambitious for most folks lunch taste. Yes that is $18 for Mac and Cheese on the menu and $14 for a grilled cheese sandwich.

For these prices, things including service, should be over the top. They weren’t.

Some of the meals are great, but some are just wrong. Had fresh crab meat on pasta and the chef covered it in chili. But the salads are great.

Now if only Victoria airport would stop the constant cheap training school Cessna's from buzzing the city constantly for hours and hours. The noise wrecks the city.

Great value and great service. Modern decor, quiet, well spaced tables, elegant, with an interesting menu - weighted to fresh seafood and fresh seasonal produce. The wine list short but good, and everything is reasonably priced. The food was very nicely plated with generous portions. We were in a group of 11, (and that rarely works well in any restaurant), but the waitstaff and kitchen at Haro's handled it with ease. A number in our group ordered the Steak Oscar with various sides and substitutions, and each steak was done to perfection, and every order was served without confusion or fuss. Great place for couples but probably not a place for kids, especially in the evening. We will definitely be back. Make a reservation, the place was packed by 7 pm on a Tuesday evening.

My husband and i had dinner at Haro's restaurant at be Sidney Pier. Although, it was too cool to sit outside on the patio, we enjoyed a table in the bar area overlooking the water. My husband had Fish and Chips which were good, and i had the shrimp and crab bisque with cornbread, and had a large salad with fresh strawberries, avocado and lots of fresh crab. The portions were generous and quality good. Their wine, beer and cocktail menu was very good. Our waiter was very friendly and we had a very pleasant experience.

Waterfront dining which includes an outdoor deck. The vegetarian options include a smoked chickpea ragout, a Falafel Naan, and pizza which can made gluten free. The wine selection is good. I usually order the Malbec. You can also enjoy the and the weekly musical entertainment.
