For many, Christmas is a frenzied exhausting time of year and being away from home only compounds this. I recently spent four nights over Christmas at The Emerald Isle and felt it did it's best as a home away from home. It was odour and stain free which is a plus. The furniture and fabrics felt updated and the mattress didn't leave me doubled over in the morning. My only complaint would be the heating unit which was like sleeping next to a beer fridge and the fact that they didn't have maid service on Christmas Day. Surely someone on staff would have enjoyed the overtime working on this holiday. I think a travel voucher or room rate reduction should have been in order as maid service is included in the price. Perhaps next year they'll get it right. All told though, a good experience.

The rooms and the pool were very nice. The flowers outside the hotel were very well kept. We had a suite that was very spacious and the staff were so kind and helpful in allowing us to keep our luggage in storage before our check in time so we could go shopping. It is in walking distance to the magnificent harbour and shopping. A great stay.
TIP:use the entertainment book to get a good deal on this hotel!
