I have to agree with some other reviewers. My husband and I took our 3 small children and expected much more for the price. Even our oldest daughter (7) was surprised that it was over so soon. We went to the acquarium in Vancouver a few days later and wished we had saved the money with the discovery centre.

I went to the center first thing in the morning. And the place was full of children. They charge 15.00$ per adult and overall I kind of wish I saved my money. We couldn't enjoy it due to the kids running and screaming. There were 4 to 6 aquariums to look at. If you want to see a starfish the aquarium behind the center next to the pier is just as good. I do have to say the staff were excellent explaining which animals we were looking at. I would recommend this place to anyone with children!

Worth a stop if you are in Sidney anyway and had a coupon maybe. Took us 15 minutes tops to see everything. So that was like a dollar a minute... Not very interactive, except for the touch pool. I wouldn't really use the term aquarium. Some pretty tanks and a clever entrance, but we left disappointed.

This is a great kid friendly aquarium right on the waterfront in Sidney. It is hard to believe but all the fish apparently come from the local waters and the color was amazing. Very friendly staff and the fabulous exhibits more than make up for the small scale of the place. The personal connection is what makes this work so well. Our kids (4 and 7) already want to go back.

expensive for what is offered, they do not offer a senior discount which is silly in a town of seniors. i went to it when it just opened and it was all bright and cheery but that spark seems to be gone now.
