The park has a sizable collection of railroad cars and engines - but the highlight is the old roundhouse, refurbished with a glass front. It contains the best of the collection, including an immense engine from the Canadian railways. The location is half way between Vancouver and Whistler, so this is a nice stop along the beautiful Sea to Sky Highway.
There is also a mini railway, which would be fun if you are traveling with kids.
The signs directing to the park are poor, so it's easy to miss. Once you get to Squamish, stop and ask directions from there. It's only about 2 more miles, but off the main highway.
