Room was a good size, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast is a little sparse but enough to hold you over. We had dinner at a local Indian restaurant, Essence of India, that was excellent.

Stayed here 2 nights (june 2012) for the Test of Metal mountain bike race. Staff were super nice even after the mountain bike race when we dragged a bit of mud through the hotel. Rooms are nice and big, very clean, etc. Breakfast is good, lots of fruit, breads, cereals, yogurt, boiled eggs, and more. They did not skimp. Coffee was delicious. Every staff member was friendly!

Room Tip: The king bedroom is nice - gives you the table and chairs to sit around. Each room has a fridge, mi...

Our room was modern, spacious, the bed very comfortable, effective a/c, good free wifi and we had a great night's sleep. There was plenty of parking but very little else to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Despite being off season and the hotel clearly being very empty, the room wasn't cheap. The breakfast was included but had only a very basic continental selection.

This property, a former Holiday Inn Express, is relatively new (<5 years), has lots of parking and is located not too far off Highway 99. Because it was the off season, we were able to get a really good rate for a king room with microwave and mini-fridge. The room we had was impressive - lots of space. Usually in a king room the bed dominates the room but here, it complimented the decor. The hotel was clean, nice linens on the bed and everything in the room is almost new. There are a few remnants of its former ownership such as the pillow cases having the Holiday Inn labelling on them.
What this hotel did not carry over from its HI days is the quality of the breakfast. If the quality of the complimentary breakfast is one of the main criteria for your stay, you will want to find another hotel. The offering were rather pitiful as they appeared to be leftovers from events in the meeting rooms - dried out muffins, curled up slices of bread and cold cereals. Apart from coffee, there were no hot items.
This is too bad as this hotel chain seems to be trying to be in the same league as the other mid-range chains. There is a nice pool area, fitness room and the staff were friendly and polite. The hotel is located in a retail area under development. A Wal-Mart and Home Depot are within walking range but to find a restaurant, you'll have to drive.
Recommend this property if you are looking for a convenient stopover either to or from Vancouver but bring your own muffins or find a Tims in the morning.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner king room - they're huge.

A comfortable, new hotel in Squamish. The lobby is bright and open. Front desk staff were friendly and attentive. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable! I appreciated the choice of firm or soft pillows (conveniently labelled) and the mini fridge and microwave, though I didn't use them, would be most convenient for a longer stay. The pool was not yet open, though looked lovely and the fitness room, though small, was adequate with a decent treadmill, stair stepper and free weights. The free continental breakfast was average, at best.

The lobby area of the Sandman in Squamish is very open and airy. The hotel is quite new so the pool was not open. The rooms very comfortable. Excellent beds. FREE INTERNET was most welcome. No restaurant but a 'less than adequate' continental breakfast was included in the rate. This was the only down-side to the property that I could see.
