The short but spectacularly scenic drive up from Vancouver is an appetizer for the gustatory experience of a meal where arguably BC's best beer is carefully crafted. Sitting on the outside patio when the weather is fine only adds to the feeling that you'd eat here every day if you were lucky enough to live in Squamish.
The menu is full of selections to appeal to everyone. The Edgie Veggie pizza with blue cheese and garlic explodes from the plate. The burgers are ample and delicious. But it is truly the beer that makes this a must visit destination. Having met and talked to the owners and Brewmaster Franco Corno it's clear this place cares about quality, variety of flavours and creativity whether it's a lager or an IPA or a remarkable fruit beer. A sample paddle of four beers is a good way to find one you will want to buy regularly at your local outlet. Pumpkin Eater out now is a comforting fall concoction. But Total Eclipse of the Hop will satisfy anyone looking for a high IBU beverage.
My only complaint is that I eventually had to head back to Vancouver. But I'm certain I will return.
If you love craft beer and good food don't pass an opportunity to have a meal here.
