We came here under the recommendation of Information Center in Valemount (we wanted to stay in a cabin, after 5 phone calls to different places, but no one is answering their phone). So we ended up here. It was located behind IGA and in derelict area, for several hours we listened to drunk people at a house next door and across the road. Train every hour all night (don't mind the train too much) we had the room facing the street upstairs which was okay, room was clean and comfortable. It is a dog friendly place, but owners dog had puppies and we were unable to use the yard (she did say she would move the dog so ours could use it, but we said it was okay, we will walk our dog on the streets), I did not like the bathroom not having a door, there was a small privacy screen instead. Bonnie said she rather us didn't use the bath due to using too much of their hot water, but to use the shower of the occupied room (we did not feel comfortable with that at all) it was a jetted tub, we bathed in the tub anyway(at 8pm not peak time). The jets were dirty so we didn't turn it on. Coffee must of been stale because we normally use the two pkgs provided. We had to do two cycles of water through the coffee maker because the water was brown! After 2 cycles it was almost clear. Hint: use vinegar to run through the coffee maker and clean pots with baking soda and vinegar, it works wonders. Weird thing was we locked our room to walk the dog and came back with door open???
REVIEWS SAID THEY HAD WONDERFUL BREAKFASTS WITH BONNIE AND MARK...things have changed. Bonnie told us right away she doesn't do breakfast, but there was muffins and coffee in the gallery in the morning. As we checked out, we went for coffee and Bonnie said she'd wrap the muffins as we needed to head out. We left empty handed We paid $130 for a bed (not breakfast). VERY DISAPPOINTED, most B&Bs were $30-70 range and are quite nice, but $130?? I can understand if it was a luxury B&B

Comfortable, quiet & really appreciate the attention to every detail in decor and amenities! Mountain views, deck, garden, fireplace, private entrance. This is my number one choice of accommodation in the beautiful little village of Valemount! Highly recommend for anyone visiting.

Room Tip: Inquire with the hostess about available rooms, there are a few options available.

Myself, my husband and our 2 year old stayed here. It was so great for families, and an amazing deal. The owner was very accommodating and friendly. The yard was beautiful with a rock garden, sandbox full of toys and a hammock - very peaceful. The rooms were very clean and fresh. Having access to the shared kitchen and living area was also very convenient for making quick meals and having a place to lounge and play for our child. We'll definitely be back!

This feels like home because it is a family home, yet the accommodations are well separated from the family quarters. There are two rooms downstairs, and a large suite upstairs, with two comfortable bedrooms, a large shared living room, and an upstairs deck.

The first is a master bedroom with a small additional room, great for the extra person of child, and an en-suite bathroom with a large spa tub and toilet. The bath and toilet area are not in a separate room, however there is a privacy blind that one can pull across where required.

There is also a small porch that opens off this bedroom. There is also a door to a well equipped bathroom that has a shower, washbasin and toilet, that is available if the other room is not booked at the time.

the second room is quite a bit larger than the first, and contains a well equipped kitchenette as well as an extra sleeper couch, a small dining table, and a character coffee table. Both bedrooms are equipped with comfortable, warm, queen size beds.

The entire facility is spotless, and the large room has views out to the mountains beyond.

Valemount does have those mile long trains running through it hourly through the night, and they sound their horns as they approach each of 3 or 4 railway crossings. I am happy to say that the train did not trouble us at all in this lodging. Not one bit, in fact it was a very peaceful sound in the distance.

We did not have breakfast here, we were quite frankly not aware that they served breakfast, as this is called Gallery and Lodging not B&B, so we unfortunately missed out on that treat. However there is a great breakfast place in the town that we always enjoy for old fashioned homestyle cooking, where we usually eat.

All in all a pleasant, comfortable overnight stay, great for groups and families, for overnight or longer stays.

Room Tip: In Valemount, take into account the proximity of your accomodations to the train tracks. There are 3 or 4 level crossings that trains go through almost on the hour throughout the night, so be sure to ask. Accomodations in the town like this one are no problem, others, sometimes not so much.

We only booked a day or two ahead of time, but they were graciously able and willing to fit us in! As well, being vegetarian, they kindly made us a hearty breakfast of lentil pancakes (never had them before, but delicious!). Thanks again, you guys!
