“Nice and friendly, good price”

We stayed Thanksgiving weekend and were happy with everything at the B&B. Heather is very friendly, helpful and eager to please her guests. Breakfast was enjoyable, and there was a very friendly atmosphere throughout.
The house is older but the bathroom was newly renovated with a nice shower.
A great deal for travellers and tourists.

We stayed at this property for just one night, prior to catching the ferry from North Sydney to Newfoundland. We wished we'd stayed longer as we found it to be a really restful night's sleep. We arrived later in the evening, and the owner attended to us quickly and pleasantly.

The room was spotlessly clean, really quiet, warm and comfortable. It had an ensuite bathroom and the shower was hot and strong.

The bed was firm and pillows reasonably comfortable. Our room also had a couch and a TV.

In the morning, we had a great home-cooked breakfast of sausages, scrambled eggs, english muffins and jam, juice and tea. Cereal and yoghurt was also available if we'd been extra hungry.

Off-street parking was available at the front of the property, with several options for fast food available later in the evening (Subway and a local pizza shop). Tim Horton's (coffee) and a local grocery store were within one block's easy walk.

There is a petrol station across the road - convenient for topping up the tank prior to taking the vehicle on the ferry. The Newfoundland ferry is about two minutes drive (across the road).

The only downside to our stay was the intermittent Wi-Fi connection which for people like us organising travel electronically and on the go, may prove a little frustrating. Apart from that, we would highly recommend the Harbourfront as a great stay if ferrying from North Sydney to Newfoundland, or even for several days in North Sydney.

The hostess was very friendly and good at recommending things to do near by as well as the best way to get to the NFL which is across the street. (You can hear the Ferry horn from the B&B and it was startling at first).
The rooms are clean. the bathrooms were updated but, the rooms decor has not been updated.
Over all good price for what you get.

We stayed in this B&B for an overnight stopover prior to taking the Ferry to Newfoundland. We had to get up very early for the ferry and had a self-serve breakfast in the kitchen before we went.

Good quality for the money - especially full-week rates/off season. Breakfast different every day. Hostess very accommodating - ice when needed, room service only as required, very private. We'd go back for another long stay.

We stopped on our way to Newfoundland and on our way back. Heather was a wonderful hostess. The rooms are clean and breakfast was great. Our group was large (10) and she made us feel like we were at home.
The little extras you did for us was greatly appreciated!
So close to the ferry that you could walk there.
Thank you again for the great time!!

If you are heading to the ferry, stay here! Reasonably priced, clean and comfortable. Innkeeper, Heather Jupp, is a very nice lady who was welcoming and accommodating. Location is just across from a Canadian Tire and Tim Horton's and a small convenience store, making it very easy to get a lot of our last minute purchases made. We had to leave too early for breakfast but Heather did direct us to help ourselves to juice, cereal, coffee/tea and was just a wonderful and kind hostess.
