“Marigold is Golden”
Reviewed June 16, 2014

This cultural centre in Truro is a terrific venue for all sorts of events. I principally see plays or music artists at the Marigold. The small theatre is comfortable and there are no bad seats:) The sound system, acoustics and lighting are terrific. The selection of events ranges from kids shows to pop to classical. The centre also puts on arts workshops and kids day camps. It houses the Truro Sports Hall of Fame memorabilia and a room with ever-changing art exhibits. Something for everyone! . The centre is supported by the Town of Truro, the Province of Nova Scotia and various local businesses and individuals. Memberships are available and I encourage people to sign-up to help provide the needed additional support. Members enjoy some nice perks, too:)

“A great venue for both artist and audience!”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

The Marigold is a wonderful theatre ... amazing acoustics in an intimate environment makes for a truly special audience experience. It features all genres of music and theatre. I have attended many shows and have yet to be disappointed. Drop in to a show soon!

“Cozy little theatre”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

I recently attended a band concert here. The small stage gives it a more intimate feel. The seats were not overly comfortable so hopefully you won't have to be sitting too long. The event I attended when for 2 1/2 hours with no intermission. That's just plain cruel!

“Great Little Theatre”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

Cosy little theatre that supports local artists. Comfortable and makes you feel like you are right in the action! Only wish is that they would put more variety on and more often. Also has rooftop free shows in the summer where you can pull up a chair in the street and watch the entertainment.
