This restaurant, conveniently located on Inglis Street, used to be called just the Bistro and it was quite good. Now it has changed hands, and under chef/owner Dennis Pierce it is fabulous.
Both days we went for lunch, and both days I had the pizza special which was a thin crust pizza with a pesto sauce, spinach, goat cheese and broiled cherry tomatoes. What a treat. It was served perfectly cooked and hot.
My husband had toasted panini sandwiches with a side of salad each day and loved them.
We spoke to another customer the first day who raved about the soup of the day (squash I think). Everything seems to be done with a flair.
The prices are reasonable and there is a decent wine list.
We looked at the dinner menu, and though we are from out of town, we will have to go back. Right now, it features main courses: Beef Bourguignon, Stuffed pork chop with local cheese, lemon chicken, Pesto Salmon Risotto, Vegetable Fettuccine and Roasted Halibut. They all sound great.
