Can't wait to eat at Wabora whether it's the three of us or a large group...we've also made it a family tradition for birthdays!
Keep the excellence up :)

The grill was open for the two of us, we were joined by a family. Enjoyed friendly conversation until we were dominated by a large gentleman clanging his spatulas and tossing things in his cap. We watched as he talked and stirred the fried rice which was served to our plate without anything else for about 15 minutes, we ate the rice and then the salmon was served, ate the salmon while waiting for an embarassingly small amount of vegetables which we ate in 2 minutes. Ordered sushi got six weak pieces.
Everything was serves separately and minutes apart. The weirdest serving that we have ever experienced and will never experience again. We were hungry when we left and couldn't get out of there fast enough. This place is doomed.

The last few times we've been there, the food has been mediocre. Everything tastes the same. Nothing stands out and there are no distinct flavours, as there were before.
The hibachi show is ok, if you get the right guy, but isn't the best I've seen. The service isn't usually great and the prices have gone up a lot in the last year.
We loved this restaurant because the food was always amazing. Now that they don't have that going for them, we probably won't be returning for awhile. I fear this restaurant will disappear, if they don't do something to save it in the next couple of years.

We have been to Wabora multiple times. The sushi is always really good although last time we went it all tasted the same. The same spicy mayo sauce on 4 different rolls that our table ordered.
The salad is outstanding with the miso dressing, the miso soup is just ok. Lacking tofu.
The service is always just terrible. If you are passing through Bracebridge and you are in NO rush whatsoever then go, you will be likely to enjoy the sushi but want to pull your hair out about your service.
We really enjoyed the manager constantly walking right by us, looking at our dirty plates then going over to the bar area to watch tv.
The loud dance music always confused me - they are a disco sushi bar?
Anyway, good sushi - I would go back on a Sunday afternoon when I have 2 hours to kill and won't be annoyed by the horrific service.

Twice previously we had stopped in Bracebridge for a meal at Wabora and had enjoyed the hibachi table experience. This visit was a spur of the moment stop on a September Sunday evening. With miles yet to travel on #11 north we elected to dine at a table this time and order from the menu. The food was as good as ever but the server did the restaurant no credit. Never a smile from first meeting until departure and a marked reluctance to even make eye contact with her customer. One could only assume she would rather have been anyplace else and doing anything else. Needless to say our tip was minimal and I hope the kitchen staff got what we did leave!
