My husband & I found the Riverwalk Restaurant by accident while visiting Bracebridge. We stopped in at the Visitor Centre at the Bridge on Manitoba Street and asked where to get the best lunch? We were told that Riverwalk was downstairs in their Visitor building (it was an historic Woolen Mill). If we hadn't been told about it, we would never have found it!
It was worth the search! It was a pleasant June afternoon and we chose to eat outside on the balcony - overlooking the Bracebridge Falls. What a view and we enjoyed the sound of the rushing waters.
The food was AMAZING! We met the owner/chef - David Friesen when we passed by the open kitchen. Fresh focaccia bread had just come from the oven. There were many options on the menu - all sounded wonderful. I don't usually choose a burger for lunch - but the menu description sounded yummy - grass-fed beef topped with Oka cheese. It did not disappoint. I honestly don't remember a better restaurant burger. My husband, who usually chooses vegetarian also ordered the burger - and he loved it! The hostess was very friendly and attentive. We would certainly return to Riverwalk - next time in Bracebridge.
