My husband and I have stayed a number of times at the Inn at the Falls both in summer and winter. This is more than a B&B as they have a unique selection of rooms to stay in, have an exceptional pub on site which offers traditional pub fare and a great outdoor patio. The dining area offers a complimentary self serve breakfast which is more than adequate. The rooms are clean and comfortable, we have stayed in 3 various types of suites which were all very nice. The cottage is well equipped for families or larger groups and the smaller suites are perfect for couples who want a relaxing atmosphere for a weekend getaway. As we enjoy the outdoors and often stay here for a kayaking weekend, there are nice trails nearby and the town of Bracebridge is quite nice with many diversified shops. We will return again without hesitation.

We've returned a number of times to Inn at the Falls in Bracebridge. Complementary continental breakfast and free WiFi are nice bonuses. This time we stayed in the main inn in their "most haunted" room. The bed was comfy, the room was clean and very cute but we saw no ghosts. ;) It is an old property and there are a few cosmetic fixes that need to be done - holes in the wallpaper, some cracks that should be patched that kind of thing, but overall really a charming spot.

We had a quaint room in one of the houses. Not a lot of amenaties but it was a good value and a comfortable room. It was clean and the heater does a more than adequate job. It is very quiet. No clock radio or wake up calls so make other arrangements. Free wifi is an added bonus. There is a free continental breakfast and it is easy to get too.

My husband and I booked a one night stay here in the summer.
We had a room with a balcony in the gables. The room smelled of mold, the built in shampoo and conditioner holders were empty and the room did not feel clean.

We asked at the front desk for any candles they may have as the light on the balcony was broken. The girl at the front desk gave us two candles and the manager got angry with her in front of us. He told her she was not to be giving away their "expensive candles" upon a closer look at the candles on the bottom it showed they were from none other than dollarama.

They would not serve us in the patio or pub because they were due to close in 40 minutes and they had sent the cooks home

the next morning we got to breakfast at the beginning time and the selection was extremely limited. by about 30 minutes in most of the food was gone and they were telling guests that they would not be able to replenish it because the kitchen staff was gone for the day and do all the prep in the evening.

Unfortunately this hotel is in a pretty good location and the price is extremely reasonable for the area. The location is the only thing they have going for it. If you have the money stay elsewhere. We will never make this mistake again.

Dear BTW t
Thank you for your review of Inn at the Falls. After reading your review of our Inn I can acknowledge that since your visit we have made substantial changes to our housekeeping department that has resulted in many great comments about the cleanliness of our rooms.
The front desk stocks many different candles for guests to use in case of a power outage or if a guest would like to add a little ambience to their room and we are happy to hand these out.
We have increased our continental breakfast standard to exceed the traditional offerings. The prep for items such as eggs, muffins and parfaits is done at night as we do not have kitchen staff in through the mornings. The amount of prep is based on the number of people and more often than not we have more than enough for that particular day.
It is unfortunate that you will not be returning to the Inn but I have taken your concerns and addressed them with the staff.
Thanks,

We stayed over the New Years Eve break for 2 nights in the king room with a fireplace. Room was fantastic. We prebooked the New Years Eve special but realized we couldn't stay New Year's Day for brunch so we had to cancel the package and it was no problem. A lot of hotels could take a lesson or two from the staff at this resort on customer service.

We definitely will be going back in the summer.
Pub had fantastic food Looking forward to many trips back to this lovely Inn.

We booked this hotel on a travel voucher. We stayed in the Mews which does need to be updated however, spotlessly clean! We had dinner in the Pub which was very enjoyable. The old English ambiance of this century old pub is evident at every turn. The Inn has a compelling story and history which made our trip fun and exciting! I would suggest taking a pleasant smelling candle for your room, not that the room smelt bad, but a little closed up. The staff are accommodating and friendly!

Room Tip: Stay in room 105 if you dare! 119 or the end top unit in the Mews, it has a faux fireplace that is...

We looked forward to staying at this inn because it looked as though it had lots of charm and was situated well near the town.
We asked for the room with the best view and ended up in a room the Mews complex. The room itself was OK but needed a lot of updating. The washroom fixtures were chipped and the paint was peeling in places. The towels were very thin and old, and not enough for drying off after a shower. We did ask for some more and the front desk was very helpful. The view from the room was OK but blocked from seeing the falls.
The main reception area of the inn was very pretty with a lovely breakfast area, and there was a pub downstairs for dinner.
We ate dinner at the pub and were very disappointed with the food. The room was noisy from the TV, and the room smelled very smoky from the fireplaces - all dinner my throat and eyes burned from it. I ordered the trout and it was disappointing - the fish was previously frozen, the rice was cooked to mush, and the vegetables were overly salty.
The next morning the buffet breakfast was laid out nicely in the dining room. There was a fairly good selection, but the coffee was not prepared properly and had coffee grounds pouring into our cups and was tasteless. We did ask the kitchen person if we could have another coffee made, and the second cup was much better.
All in all, the stay was OK, but could have been more enjoyable with more care taken with the meal preparations.
