“Okay but watch out for pricing”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

I stayed at this property 2 days ago and we booked our 2 rooms over the phone. When I made the reservation, for 2 rooms, I was quoted a price of $159 and I clarified that this was for both rooms and was told "YES". When we arrived, we were charged $159 for each room and could not cancel the reservation because we had guaranteed it with a credit card. We found out that the other guests were given a rate of $129 with a government rate (for a 1 night stay on the same date as ours) so we complained and the owners denied giving anyone else this rate. We asked the neighbour for their receipt and brought it to the owners who then admitted that they have such rates and offered us $20 back on our fees. I had to ask for the tax on this as well which was begrudgingly given. The rooms were just okay. It was nice to have a fridge in the room and the pool was fine. Water was warm. Wall paper is peeling and older style furnishings but certainly satisfactory. I just expect little more for $159 a night!

Room Tip: All rooms are quiet. Small property in a quiet area of town but close to downtown and of course San...

We try and stay here twice a year while travelling on our Motorcycles. The rooms are clean, comfortable and the motel is quiet. The outdoor pool is the best and perfect on a hot summer afternoon.

The owners are friendly and will help with anything you may need or forgot. WiFi and AC perfect.

BBQ available and the Motel is only 5 minutes away from most restaurants.

Frank and I just love it at the Cedar Lane....we came here two years ago for a weekend, nearing the end of summer on motorcycle.. We met other couples on bikes and in cars,,chatting for hours outside having drinks...bring your own food as there is a barbecue and fridge and micro in each room Last year we must of gone there every weekend . The pool is great and so so relaxing because of the quietness and you even see the odd deer or two...The owners are amazing and will give you things you may have forgotten even ice....The rooms are clean and good size and if you have kids they will enjoy a game of basketball and swimming in the pool and enjoy the swingset. The rooms are priced good....
This year we went for the weekend in May and the rooms have been redone nicely.. We always try to get room 2...we had that room last year alot...my grandson and his friend and my daughter enjoyed the three days we there and Santa's Village is near and you are just five minutes away from downtown, Bracebridge. Come one and all...you wont be disappointed...We have friends coming here now, for a nite or two....Walmart and Harveys, etc is only 3 minutes away, by car.....I highly recommend the Cedar Lane to everyone....Sharon and Frank Oshawa, Ont

Stayed for one night, cheapest hotel around after a previous one that was awful. Rooms are clean, nothing fancy, bed was comfortable and the owners very pleasant and accomodating. they do need to replace the carpeting, seems it used to be a smoking motel, now non smoking but there are burn holes in the carpet and you can still smell smoke. As I am a lung cancer survivor ( one lung out) I was very sensitive to this. Pool was closed so cannot rate it. No hairdryer in room, but was able to get one from the office.

We stayed at Cedar Lane Motel from Aug 18 to Aug 20 and found the Motel to be just what we were looking for....Clean, efficient and quiet.
Prvious reviews criticizing the cinder block walls are unfounded...These walls are painted white, and add to the "çlean" feeling of the room...They are not an eyesore at all..
We would stay there again and would recommend it to others.
