“Old Fashion Fish N Chips Wrapped in Newspaper!”
Reviewed July 30, 2014 via mobile

We never miss going here each time we hit BrockVegas! It's old fashioned fish n chips wrapped in newspaper, which are not greasy or soggy. It always tastes fresh and the fries are made from fresh cut potatoes! Uuummmm.... Not to be missed if passing through BrockVegas!

“BRAVO”
Reviewed July 20, 2014

Excellent take out fish and chips.............cod or haddock.....the old fashioned way, take it out to the park near the river and feast in the great outdoors. We never visit Brockville without visiting Don's. Bravo!

“Consistently good fish and chips”
Reviewed July 10, 2014

Okay, Don's is nowhere near the best of what you'd find in most British or Scottish villages (for one thing most of them have access to really, really fresh fish and the best ones use peanut oil to cook) but it's pretty good and has become a bit of a tradition for us - get some Don's and sit down by Blockhouse Island and watch the boats go by. Food is fresh, they keep the oil clean. I find the fish a bit overcooked, but never too greasy. And there's always, always a line-up. I hear that the other chippie in Brockville is not bad either, but they never have a line-up, so have never bothered to go there. Give it a try.

“Great fish and chips.”
Reviewed July 1, 2014

Stopped in for lunch and was very pleased with the service and the food. The haddock was nicely done without being greasy. Would recommend to anyone passing through to give them a try. Well worth it

“Snacky good fish and chips!”
Reviewed May 1, 2014

This efficient little operation has been around for many, many years. It was opened by Don and now operated by his son. The menu is comprised of haddock and soft fries. Pair that with a Stewart's or a beer from the Store across the street, and you have the ingredients for a nice lunch at the nearby park overlooking the river.

Just kidding about the beer...
