Dark and gloomy, a bit beaten up with a pervasive sense of sticky beer on the floor, in other words a real pub! Service is slow, but you're not supposed to be in a hurry. Food is generally very good - a bit of the unexpected along with the usual - quality seems to vary depending on how busy they are. Have not been in when there's live music, have heard that people who like that sort of thing like it.
