“Great Staff”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

Just had another great stay at this Travelodge Hotel in Brockville. Shelley Arbeau and her staff are just fantastic and make you feel right at home. This is not a five star general place but if you want a quiet room, clean, continental breakfast, flat screen tv, and internet all at a great price, this is the place to go. Our home away from home and centrally located to everything in Brockville.

Room Tip: Rooms in the 130 section seem to be the quietest.

The front desk staff was very good, and the bed was comfortable, but that's about it. There were big black stains on the carpet as we went in, and stains on the pillowcase. The room was very small. The air conditioner rattled so loud it kept us up half of the night. Then to top it all off, there was mold on the shower door.

Room Tip: If you have to stay here, stay on the second floor.

A bit of a mixed experience. The day and afternoon staff were fantastic- helpful and friendly. They had lots of tips on the area, what to do and where to go; very hospitable. No such luck on the night shift, where the clerk herself takes up not one, but both handicapped spots for the night. Also, be very careful when taking a shower in the morning; fluctuating temperatures could pose a burn risk, especially to children or the elderly/infirm.

Complimentary breakfast is very good. The rooms are clean and reasonably well appointed; about what you would expect.

This hotel seems to book up early, so call ahead if travelling on a weekend or holiday.

Room Tip: Limited seating for the continental breakfast, arrive early

On our way to Quebec we spent Monday night of the last week in July at the motel; on our return trip we spent Thursday and Friday nights there as well.
The desk clerk, Dawn, was very helpful, moving our rate from CAA to Senior, saving us $5.00.
Our room was small, but very clean. Everything worked. Everything was very clean. The bed was comfortable. There was a new flat screen TV. The air conditioning was powerful but quiet and easy to adjust.
All of the staff were friendly and helpful.
The breakfast room was very clean. The attendant was especially particular and kept everything including the table tops clean and "just so". I liked the effort to recycle and the various bins provided for so doing.
We were within walking distance of several fast food outlets.
At $79.80 (senior rate) per night, this is the best value I've seen in a long time.

We spent two days at your motel on the 29th and the29th, our room number was 103. .
Your motel is very friendly and very clean, there is only one thing we found, when we went to breakfast on Sunday at nine o'clock there was no place to sit, so we had to bring our meal back to our room, we were not the only ones, three couples did the same.
Your breakfast room is not big enough.
Your hostess was very friendy and that is what we need as we travel.
In my travels t would pick travel lodge every time.
thank you

Check-in and service was good. The lady at the front desk working late at night was very friendly.

Room was a bit musty-smelling, and the TV did not function properly. AC worked well, but made a loud rattling sound at times.

I would stay here again as the location is convenient and service was good. The rooms we saw (we had friends there as well) are a bit worn, but the place seemed clean and the service was good.

My friend and I spent a Friday & Saturday night in town, the room was clean and comfortable with no noise from adjoining rooms... The one thing we found odd was the shower stall, it was an oval shape that jutted out into the room, and the surface you use to place your soap and shampoo bottle on was on such and angle that it would slide off if you weren't careful.

The breakfast was included, it was decent, with a choice of a few cereals, Eggo waffles that you could throw in the toaster, yogurt, muffins, bread, juice and coffee.

Our room cards stopped working upon our return on Saturday night, I guess they were not programmed for the two night, but that was a quick fix.

The staff were all friendly, we would return there again!
