Too we don't have this kind of Sunday Brunch in Durham Region. Very enjoyable dining experience. Service was quite pleasant and efficient. Great tasting food. Loved the mains of ham, turkey and roast beef. The beef melted in your mouth. Nice steamed veggies cooked perfectly with the slight crunch to them. Roast potatoes were excellent. Also, liked the cheese tortellini and the little cheese and tomato pizza slices. Nice looking dining area. Can't wait to go back.

This is the second time I have stayed at the Inn. Very friendly staff and an easy check in/out process. The rooms are spacious, clean and have very high ceilings. The amenities are new and have been kept up to date (LCD TV, DVD, Jacuzzi bath, WiFi etc.). It is a very short walk to the downtown shops, beach and pier. It is a great place to stay if you are just getting out of the city.

The mark of a good hotel is the repeat customers it gets. We're repeat customers. In fact, we've stayed at the Woodlawn about a half dozen times over the last couple of years and have not once been disappointed. It's a beautiful turn of the century inn with comfortably appointed and decorated rooms. (Although, we have found that the air conditioning in the rooms in the small house adjacent to the Inn, is a little ...well... underwhelming. It was hard to get really cool air.) Elsewhere, the dinner meals at the restaurant have been absolutely lovely every single time and they're great value too if you take one of the 'package' rates. Breakfast is a little less enticing but adequate. For example, the fruit salad had been seasoned with salt ...not sugar... But this was a simple error and not typical. The staff has been superb at all times. All in all, it is a dependable, comfortable place to visit and stay. It's certainly keeps us coming back.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the two rooms in the small cottage adjacent to the Inn. They are very private, spacious and comfortable. Air conditioning is a bit weak but otherwise, they're lovely!

We booked the couple's package which included the room, a hot breakfast, and a 3 course dinner for 200 bucks and it really is a great deal considering the dinner is definitely a first class meal. They upgraded us to the presidential suite for our anniversary which was a bonus and were pleasant to deal with throughout our stay. It's about a 10 minute walk to the beach and close to everything, although it's a pretty quiet town to begin with. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a quick getaway from Toronto

My husband and I visited the Woodlawn Inn for our anniversary. I could not be happier with our room, it was lovely. We decided to dine at the Woodlawn for dinner and honestly, it was the best meal I have ever had. Excellent service and fabulous food. I had the sole which was filleted at our table. It was divine.

That being said, I love bed and breakfast and was looking forward to a chef made breakfast. Breakfast was very disappointing. It was the same pre-made reheated buffet you could get at any chain hotel.
