“Great Food, Great People, Great Prices.”
Reviewed December 16, 2012 via mobile

The Alphorn is by far my favourite restaurant in the blue mountain area. If you go here you must try their pork schnitzel! Best I've ever had! As well as their raclette. I cannot stress enough how tasty their food is! The atmosphere is fun and although the decorations may be cheesy they add to the casual surrounding. Be careful though! If you blow the big horn (which most people do without knowing the consequences, because it looks like fun) then be prepared to buy everyone in the restaurant a round of shots!

“Be prepared for a noisy good time.”
Reviewed December 12, 2012

Can you, or one of your kids blow a 14 foot alpine horn....give it a try. Let them know if someone in your party has a birthday and everyone in the restaurant will join in the fun of the 'birthday' song
So ambiance is great, unless you are looking for a quiet romantic dinner. The restaurant is festooned with ski memorabilia and the owners are great guys. If you like Wienerschnitzel you are in the right place. Other great selections are their Swiss Onion Soup, House Salad, and of course, the Coupe Denmark desert. Here is a hint:- order Rösti Potatoes and Hunter Sauce with your diner. You will love this place, especially on a birthday with kids.

“Great restaurant...nice after a day on the slopes”

Great food...good atmosphere. Was away for 6 years, enjoyed it before I left and still enjoy it. Had schnitzel, the portion was huge and very tasty, as was the sauerkraut..

“Unique decor”
Reviewed November 5, 2012

If you like Alpine food, this is a good choice. Hearty meals at a reasonable price. The restaurant is easy to find, right off the highway. You will get a kick out of the decor, many interesting pieces to view.

“Not my favourite”
Reviewed November 3, 2012

The decor is very Swiss meets skiing season. It seems like a great place to go after a day on the mountain. The beer was great. However, I found the side dishes kind of plain and gross (i.e. peas and white rice) and I didn't like that the Schnitzel came without any sauce. It seems like a place with simple comfort food that hits the spot but does nothing more. The atmosphere (and carpet) felt kind of outdated. The atmosphere is probably better during winter.
