“Excellent lunch in a parisian style cafe in beautiful Collingwood”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

The Tremont Cafe is a lovely parisian style cafe on a side street off of beautiful downtown Collingwood. Situated in a lovingly restored building the Tremont Cafe shares the building with several talented artists. The menu itself is limited, which could be the reason that the owners are able to ensure each meal is fresh and only the best ingredients used. Came on a busy Saturday for a late lunch with my daughter. Enjoyed a wonderful lunch of eggs benedict...incredible hollandaise sauce! Will visit again!

“Dine in an historic building”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

Had dinner there. There is an open kitchen at front of restaurant so it gets noisy. Try to get a table at the rear or on the patio. Food was good but menu is limited. There are artists studios in the building which may be open during the day.

“A must try!”
Reviewed August 5, 2013 via mobile

We had lunch here several times and were surprised by the taste and quality, not what we expected for a little hideaway eatery. The only disappointment was that the menu was not the same on Sundays which was a shame as we really wanted previously enjoyed choices. You won't be disappointed.

“Disappointed”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

My husband and I visited this restaurant, since it had received very good reviews. We had high expections, but were disapointed with the food.
The service and atmosphere of the restaurant was good, not conducive to romance. My husband ordered the calamari for appetizer. It was ok and not overly battered. His main dish was the salmon which was good, the rice was blend and the vegetable overcooked. I ordered the Thai Seafood Curry which was very disappointing. The curry sauce was watery and blend, no distinct taste or spice. Some of the mussels were not cooked. It was over priced for the quality of the food. Will not return during our visit to Collingwood

“Never disappoints”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

I've been to the Tremont Cafe a number of times and had excellent meals and experiences every time, so it's time to step up and say so. The space is gorgeous and the menu is carefully curated and exceptionally prepared. The owner and chef was a very skilled, popular and respected chef in Toronto, and Collingwood is darned lucky that he has moved north. He is also a nice guy and has hired staff who are wonderful.

I have never been disappointed with even a morsel of food at this place. The last time we were there I ordered roast chicken with fava beans, just because I was curious. It wasn't a dish I expected to love. But it turned out to be one of the best things I have EVER eaten. As all the tables around us will attest, I couldn't stop talking about it.

There is probably nothing here that you won't like, but most of all, you will like the people who take care of you.
