“Wonderful Gem”

This cafe was recommended by the B&B owner we were staying with. We went before the dinner rush hour and perhaps because it's not yet busy season in the area, we were the only customers there.

The atmosphere was very relaxing, simple colour schemes with an open kitchen. They also had a library area which we did not use, but we thought it was definitely a nice touch.

For the app, we had the pork belly which just melted on our tongues. For our entrees, I ordered the chicken breast and risotto, while my boyfriend ordered lamb with Parisian gnocchi. Both dishes were wonderfully cooked. The chicken was juicy and moist unlike most places, and the lamb was done to the colour he chose. It would be nice to visit this cafe again if we are ever in the area again!

“Al Fresco Dining”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 28, 2012

The Tremont Cafe has a wonderful atmosphere, especially the 'library' section of the restaurant. The open kitchen is always busy and food is prepared fresh and tastes great. A very European influence, very much like a french Bistro. Warm and cozy in the wintertime and light and airy in the summer. The owners make you feel very welcome and care about their patrons.

“Very Cool Place for Lunch. Enjoy Super Salad Dishes”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 20, 2012

the Tremont Cafe reminds you of the very cool cafes you would find in downtown Toronto. While there, you can enjoy reading mags and newspapers. A terrific spot to grab a light salad and glass of wine. A super place to do a catch up with a friend. Enjoy the art in the same building.

“Feels like the garden district in NOlans”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 14, 2012

After driving through a see of American style "chain family restaurants" it pays to stop the car and ask , : " where do foodies eat?"

Dinner was as good as the sunset, something for everyone! And a room that can seriously be filled!

The Tremont has become one of my favourite restaurants to go to in Collingwood. The building is a mix of modern and classic decor that has been done perfectly down to the smallest detail. The open concept kitchen is nice to see when you walk in the door and as you approach the dining room you get all kinds of "hello's" from the friendly servers and the kitchen staff, it's a very welcoming start to your experience.
The menu is unique and creative and most importantly delcious! It's great because you will see dishes on the menu here that you won't see anywhere else in town. The servers are all very professional and knowledgable about the wine and food. There is never any rush to hurry you along, which is nice because you'll usually want to stay and enjoy another glass of wine!
