Description: The Huron Club embodies what Collingwood is all about. It's a family business that has that family touch. Every diner's experience is personal. The staff are engaging and friendly, the food is fabulous, and the prices are superb for what you get. Not to mention the local live music (available 5 days a week, Wed-Saturday nights, as well as over Sunday brunch), creating that comfy-cool atmosphere. It's casual, but yet, you'd be right at home for a special occasion like a birthday dinner or anniversary, and definitely suitable for a business lunch or dinner. They also have a beautiful events gallery upstairs for functions of any kind (complete with multimedia equipment for presentations). Their patio is a summer highlight and the building itself has such an interesting history and feel to it (as one of Collingwood's beautiful heritage buildings). Overall, a wonderful place to go for any occasion, big or small.

“Great food and entertainment”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 15, 2013

Everything we tried was great, I tend to make a meal out of a couple of appetizers for the variety and they have live entertainment on the weekends as well as a night or two during the week. Full bar and a good number of brews on tap, so you can't go wrong here.

“downtown gem”

The food is very good, there's lots of nice organic beer and they have live music 3-4 nights/ wk and also on Sundays for brunch. Last visit i had the French Onion soup and it was one of the best i have had. Our table ordered lots of appetizers - calamari, wings, ceasar salad & deep-fried brie with crispy bread thins and a really nice jelly- it was the Thursday eve Happy Hour w/ apps at $7 and $5 drinks. We had a birthday that evening and they brought out a very nice dessert brownie with candles. The atmosphere is very pleasant. I will go back for sure!

“Had to Make Sure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 21, 2013

My wife and I had stopped into the Huron Club in July and sat out on the patio in the early afternoon. Both of us were very happy with our choices, mind you we proably shouldn't have had the nachos first, man were they filling! Fast forward to October, we were taking my wife's parents for a bit of a car ride up to the Thornbury, Collingwood area and main reason was that we would be able to check out the Huron Club again. Arrival at the Huron Club was a bit earlier than expected, think about 4:15 or even a touch earlier. Once looking at the menu provided by our great server Russell, everyone had decided on the prime rib dinner. Only drawback was that it started being served at 5 pm. No big deal, Russell kept us topped up with our drinks and we had no problem holding out until it was the proper time. Well worth holding out for, dinner was fantastic! I must admit one of my favourite things is the Stiegl beer they have avaiable from Southern Austria, quite delicious. Great food, attentive and friendly service combined with a very pleasant and attractive facility ensures we will be back again. There were two couples sitting just to the side of us that had a small child with them, maybe 18 months or so, what a cutie. Reason for mentioning this is that even she felt comfortable enough to go around exploring much to everyones amusement. Some places would not be impressed or put up with this, truly a testament to the friendly and family atmosphere encountered at the Huron Club.

“Fabulous Delicious Fine Cuisine!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 10, 2013

My husband and I have been at The Huron Club several times--we were there last night, October 9th. We had Venison Shepherd Pie, Butternut Squash soup, Yam Fries with Garlic Parsley and Lime& Chili Dip. This was the first time we tried Vension Shepherd's Pie, and it was amazing--tasty, delicious, cooked to perfection!! The Butternut Squash was delightful, full of flavours, and beautifully presented. The Dips were very good with the Yam fries, but our favorite was the Venison Shepherd's Pie and the Butternut Squash soup. EVERY time we got to The Huron Club Restaurant, we try something different, and we are NEVER disappointed. The staff are very friendly and we were very fortunate to have Katy for the second time this year as our waitress. She has an amazing mind. She remembered exactly what we ordered the last time we ate at your restaurant which was back in May of this year. On top of that she is very pleasant, has a welcoming smile, and was very attentive. The tastefully decorated lovely decor at The Huron Club and the soothing music {not too loud} all together create a romantic relaxing evening. We will continue to go to The Huron Club every time we go back to Collingwood where they prepare Fabulous Delicious Fine Cuisine!!!

My wife and I visited the Huron Club on Saturday evening after reading the reviews we also enjoyed our visit. My wife had the Pumpkin Gnocchi and I had the Atlantic Cod both dishes were Fantastic and the service was very good. There was live music which was nice not to loud so we could talk easily. We would highly recommend this venue.
