We stayed at the Cranberry Resort for one night. The room was nothing more than a very old and tired motel room (worn carpeting, peeling paint, lousy beds, noisy fan). We ate at Memories and this was good. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We attended their presentation the following morning and they were very pleasant with us, until we said we could not make such a decision without thinking about it for a few days and then their demeanors changed (cold).

Our mini vacation was booked through Universal Adventures. We were promised deluxe 2 bedroom suite, hot tub, kitchen and much more.

When we arrived we recieved a standard hotel room cracks in the walls, dirty carpets and pealing paint in the batroom. It looked like it was caused from water damage.

The lobby and entrance looked great but this to impress those who want to buy a timeshare.

The pools were small and no deep end.

The best part of the trip was the day we spent in Blue Mountain away from the resort.

If all you are looking for is a roof over your head and you are there for the Timeshare presentation meaning your room is discounted a lot or maybe free, try it, the scenery is great and local attractions are not far away.

We own time share with RCI and we decided to bank our weeks with Cranberry. When we checked into our room we noticed we had a view of some garbage dumpsters and the roof of a building next to us. We called the front desk to see about possibly changing our room and the woman how answered interrupted me and told me we could not change our room because "there were too many people in the hotel." We arent angry people, but after hearing that, we were under the impression that we weren't important enough to have a nice view. So we decided to go to the front desk and speak to someone in person.
We spoke to a young lady named Nikki and she seemed to actually care about our concern, and did not cut us off. Within two minutes of us standing there she had made keys for two different rooms for us to look at. She told us we could choose from the two rooms and pick the one we liked! So after seeing the two rooms we chose a room that was 100 times better than the other room. She even offered to help us move our luggage.
Later that night we went for dinner at Memories resturant. We waited 15 minutes to be seated. When we were finally seated, we got our food and it was cold. We sent it back (with the price we were paying we at least wanted hot food) but it came back cold again. A young man named Jay (the resturant manager I think) overheard our concerns and was quick to help. He took our food back and had the cook re-make the dish. It came out perfect this time.
Other than that, the rest of our stay was nice. There was not a whole lot for adults to do at the resort (the weather was drudgy) however, Nikki (from the front desk) gave us a list of things to do around Collingwood, so we spent a lot of time 'exploring' the area.
I dont really have anything Bad to say about the resort (the resort has been beautifully renovated) but the only helpfull staff members were Jay and Nikki. So if you do go to Cranberry.. keep an eye our for them. They seem to be the only ones who care!

It is going to be short but sweet.. I attended this hotel Sept 24-26 for a work conference and they actually exceeded any ranking I ever had for worst hotel! Our room had a wet carpet with peeling wall paper and I'm sure mold was hidden behind.. The front desk staff were the most inept I had ever run across and our first dinner in the restaurant we entered at 8:45pm with the hours listed to be open until 10:00pm.. we were asked to give our order right away as our server had a party to attend and needed to leave by 9:30.. we were locked out of our room on the second day as they shut off our key at noon, there was no housekeeping except for getting a clean coffee mug ( with an envelope requesting a tip) and our conference never once had our coffee, lunch or snacks delivered on time.. please please please go on my advice and that of everyone of the locals I met in town and stay anywhere but at this hotel.. you'll be so much better off in the end.. unless you enjoy torture, dirt and misery and then please feel free to check in!

I was dumb enough to buy in to this time share last year with the understanding that "pet friendly" units were an option . When checking in on Saturday evening we were told that Cranberry is 100% pet free. We eventually were able to check in for the night but would receive a call from someone the next day to try to straighten things out.
We were sent to the Harbour Castle room 7301 which is up the elevator to the 2nd floor and when you open the door to your room you are faced with a complete flight of stairs! The window in the one bedroom was broken and covered with black electrical tape. The batteries in the remote control for one of the tv's were dead. The indoor pool was unavailable because it was being renovated, and no one told us that Collingwood was having a planned power outage that night from midnight til 10 am until a girl came to our room with a little flashlight.
The person from members services didn't call us until 5pm Sunday and our meeting with them was very disturbing. We were permitted to stay one more evening so that we could meet with someone else who would be in Monday morning.
In the end we had a completely stressful week-end, we were not required to pay anything for the week-end and were vindicated in that we didn't get what we had requested and were and given a free week to be used at my convenience, but my week of vacation for this year was ruined because of their incompetence.
