My family and I have been stay at Beauview for years now, we are there every summer for a week, and every winter for at least 4 days... Gord and Nancy are the greatest ! They are the best hosts anyone could ask for. The cottages are very nice, and very clean. The beds are all very comfortable, and the location is awesome... You will not be sorry if you choose to stay at Beauview. We have been vacationing in Muskoka for 10+ years now, and you will not find a nicer place than Beauview.

My husband and our good friends stayed at the Beauview for a long weekend ( October 17 - 19 ) just to get away for some R & R and to enjoy the northern colours. We were very nicely welcomed by Gord Bell to his resort. He gave us a thorough tour of the property and through our cottage and made sure we had everything we needed. The cottage was newer and was very clean. We had all the conveniences that we needed . The cottage came with our own personal hot tub which was clean as well and perfect for the end of our day walking trails at Algonquin Park. The cottage was situated very close to the lake. Great views! The lake was absolutely beautiful and there is lots of room for outdoor games and campfires. A great place for kids as well. We have no complaints . Huntsville is not too far , with great shopping and restaurants. We spent one day at Bala for the Cranberry festival. Lots to do . Would definitely come back to visit.

We stayed at the 3 bedroom cottage for a week this August with our two children. It is a fantastic setting on the shore of the Lake of Bays, and the water was suprisingly warm and pleasant to swim/fall into. The kids and I used all the extensive selection of kayaks, canoes and pedaloes provided free of charge (lifejackets also provided) as well as the water trampoline and slide for them. We were on the water every day at some point. Gord ran the tubing sessions for the kids which they loved (nominal cost), and Nancy ran craft sessions and bingo. Nothing was too much trouble for them to ensure everyone had a fantastic holiday. The kids also got on well with other families staying on site.

The six cottages are sufficiently spaced but close to the water and there is plenty of space for other activities such as soccer, badmington etc, all provided. There are fish to catch as well! Our cottage was spotlessly clean and fully equipped and ready to use.

Shopping was easy with a large selection of supermarkets and smaller shops at Huntsville (15 mins). Nearby Baysville (10 mins) is small and has a great coffee shop/cafe. Algonquin Park visitor centre is well worth a visit and a pleasant drive of under an hour, with a selection of trails through the park of varying difficulty and length. We did the short beaver trail and saw the lodges and dam.

We were a bit concerned about mosquito and blackfly before we went as we were regularly warned about them by others in the south, but although we did get some mosquito bites it was manageable, mainly only a problem in the evening when some spray and sensible clothes helped. The cottage had screens on doors/windows. The blackfly season was apparently over when we went.

Be prepared however for a slow drive from Toronto/ Lake Ontario area, the highways are very busy and overloaded with traffic, and service facilites limited and overcrowded at weekends. Once you get to the area though the roads are empty and scenic, with deer and other animal sightings.

We would definitely recommend Beauview, particularly for those with active children, but for all generally with the selection of different cottages (unless you are looking for a solitary away from everyone backwoods experience!)

We have had the opportunity to visit many different cottages in Ontario and can say without a doubt that Beauview is the best cottage location that we have ever seen! Beauview has it all...great hosts, cottages, hottubs, swimming, water sports, activities(BBQ, crafts, bingo, badminton etc) and fishing.

We look forward to staying at Beauview for our 3rd time next summer.

My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Beauview Cottage Resort, it was better than we could have imagined!
The hosts, Gord & Nancy made us feel so welcome, they really did everything in their power to make our stay extra special and the cottage was amazing. It was clean and tidy, and the pictures were exactly the way the cottage was.
The fishing was great too!
We spent an evening around the "communal" fire and all of the guests were so nice.
We were very sad to leave at the end of the week and we will definitely be returning, hopefully for our anniversaries for years to come!
We would reccommend it to anyone and I have already to fellow coworkers!

A great place, great people and great fun!
We give it a 10 out of 10! :)

We spent 10 days at Beauview in May/June 2008. It was our first visit to Canada and we will certainly return having thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Gord and Nancy (the owners) were really helpful during our stay and everyday greeted us with warmth, smiles and a real interest in how we were enjoying our time.
The cottage we stayed in was excellent in every way. It was close to the lake with wonderful views. It was spacious, comfortable and very clean. It is best described as home from home because everything that we needed was there. The highlight was definitely the hot tub situated on the decking which gave an extra bit of luxury.
We also enjoyed the surrounding area with lots of walks in Algonquin Park where we were lucky enough to see a moose and other wildlife and birds. Huntsville is a nice town with various shops and restaurants.
The resort itself has a peaceful relaxing atmosphere but also has the option of lots of fun. We enjoyed fishing (caught a very handsome bass!), using the canoes and relaxing in the grounds.
I would certainly recommend Beauview as an ideal holiday location and I think it is suitable for both families and couples as it seems to cater for all.
