Awesome place! Kids love it and we come back every year for the lax tourney!

Owners are extremely accomodating and helpful. Lots of country charm and provides a respite from the weekend cottage country congestion in Huntsville.

Rooms were small but very clean.
'Private Beach' is a little cheesy but the hotel is next to a beautiful provincial park (Arrowhead).
They have canoes you can use at their private beach.
about 5mins away from downtown Huntsville.
Continental breakfast was very well stocked.

We got chased out or Arrrowhead Provincial Park by all the fearless bears and ended up at the Tulip. The owners are extremely friendly and our room with kitchenette was impeccably clean and had all we needed for cooking, pots, pans, cutlery, plates, bowls, everything. The grounds are beautiful with lots of Muskoka chairs and picnic tables and propane barbecues for guests. We checked out the hiking trails the next day and found that they have a beautiful huge private sandy beach on a cyrstal clear river that has a completely sandy bottom that is only a few feet deep and nice and cold. It was paradise! For only $99 in August on a Saturday night, it was a fantastic experience. They rent a really nice private cottage as well. We loved the place! Continental breakfast included and generous.

2 thumbs up for the Tulip Inn. It is far enough from town and nestled back at the edge of the Arrowhead Provential park that you can get away from it all but you're still close enough to town to get whatever you need. My partner and I were very impressed by the cleanliness of the rooms and the friendliness of the staff. The location is great as well.

To whom it may concern

My husband and I were traveling northbound to Huntsville area when we decided to spent the
night there. Upon inquiring in town as to where is a good place to pass this one night. It was suggested to us
to try the Tulip Inn.

We did. We enjoyed it so much that we extended our stay to 3 days.
The owners are a married couple. They are a very warm and hospitable people who are there for you
to make your stay as enjoyable as possible – for one reason only: They care !!!!!!!

This Tulip Inn sits on 11 acres of a beautiful wild foresty terrain with a river flowing through it.
Really picturesque and serene. You can get a canoe ( for free !!!!!! ) for the day and enjoy the river.

The Tulip Inn is full heartedly recommended for a first hand encounter with nature as it is intended to be
and for a very clean and comfortable place to pass the night and/or stay as we did.

I have no idea what the other reviewers are talking about when they say the rooms were nice. I'm so confused - perhaps if one is expecting a hunting cabin? But, for the price, I expected better (we paid CAD120 for the night, incl taxes). This would be a one-star review if not for the really nice hosts and great location (I'll agree with other reviewers on those at least). The room we stayed in was dirty enough that we decided that we couldn't take our shoes off. Some issues: musty smell, heat not on when we arrived (it was around 15 degrees C and we had a reservation and the Inn was at capacity), dead moths around the perimeter of the room, very stained and dirty carpet, cobwebs complete with dead fly behind the chair, sunken mattresses, and dirt on the walls. The linens on the beds and in the bathroom were clean as was the shower/tub. It was conveniently located and the staff was nice but I would never go back. Way overpriced.

We've been going to the Tulip Inn twice a year most years for the past 10 years. What keeps us driving 5+ hrs to return? The owners & staff, the serene setting, the proximity to both Arrowhead & Algonquin, the quaintness of Huntsville, the scenery, but mostly importantly the spirituality we feel as soon as we step out of the car. Our tension drops away and we feel like we've come home. We've come to love the owners and always look forward to our next trip to our 'home away from home'.
