“We loved it!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 28, 2013

There were 8 of us in our group. Several braved the cold waters of the lake, and all of us enjoyed the trails all around the park. They have nice bathrooms and shower rooms and a cute little museum near a nice playground. Took lots of pictures of beautiful plants and scenery. Great way to spend a day.

“Beautiful Setting!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 23, 2013

We had occasion to camp with our family at this park. Situated in the Canadian Shield, it is truly a feast for the eyes. Unfortunately the blackflies and woodticks were feasting on us at the same time. The blackflies raised itchy welts that lasted over a week. That notwithstanding, the area, the falls, the loons mournful cries wafting across dogtooth lake make this place well worth the effort ( and scratching) to visit. You wont be sorry. Camping is rather costly and is either electrical or non, no other choices. We recommend bringing bottled water as the water, while safe, is awful tasting. The bathrooms are clean. Even the pit toilets are well above average. Shower facilities are free.

“DOWN BY THE RIVER”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

Tried to make it to Manitoba but ran out of daylight. Landed up camping at Rushing River Provincial Park for $41. Nice clean site with gravel ground to pitch tent. Beautiful view of the river. People were swimming at the beach until the sun went down. Quiet spot, all we could hear was the water running. Had a small campfire with wood and sticks we collected around our area. Warden said there were 2 bears spotted a day ago. We did not meet any during our stay. Thank you! When leaving in the morning saw more of the beauty of the site. Too bad we could not have stayed here longer. Definitely would have swam in the rapids or canoed.

“Loved it so much, we return every year”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

The park is beautiful, there are multiple hiking trails with beautiful scenery. Some of the camp sites are a little close together but the one we had was completely private and stunning. There was a ton of space for us to set up our tent, Gazebo, & have our dog roam around. The lake is clean and gorgeous. We had ducks wander up from the lake into our camp site. Canoes are available, there are multiple islands to canoe out to for a picnic lunch. New bathrooms & showers in the campground.
