Jeans is always crowded--but the wait is worth it. You see mostly locals here and they keep coming back. The breakfasts are tasty and always more food than you should eat. Sandwiches are great as well.

Basic breakfast restaurant at a fair price.
Simple menu, simple food.....nothing fancy at all.
Staff is friendly and efficient. Only open until 2 pm.

Small town restaurant heritage is being upheld at Jean's family Restaurant in Kincardine Ont. My wife and I were referred here by some staff at our hotel. The place has a full parking lot and a nice diner "feel" when you enter. We seated ourselves and were served quickly. The waitress was polite, but was very busy and not much time for pleasantries.

The breakfast for my wife and I arrived quickly and was very hot. The pancake was perfect as were the eggs, but the sausage was very bland. The ham was also a little bland but the bacon had great flavour, kind of a hit and miss. The Texas toast was excellent but the home fries were not enjoyable at all. The whole breakfast was along those weird lines: one item good, the next bland and so on. This may have been due to the time as we were near 11 am and the lunch seating was very much at hand. The price was very reasonable so I see why they are so busy.

This place is cherished by us locals. Jean, died a wee while back and has been taken over by people who are keeping the home town good cooking going. Breakfast is the only meal we've ever eaten there and have never, ever been disappointed. You may have to queue, but the line moves at a good pace.
