“Fantastic Value, Great Service”
Reviewed August 6, 2010

This is the perfect hotel for travelling with families/children - it has large rooms, great service and offers superb value.

We booked in for a wedding and stayed in a jacuzzi suite. The room was very large, impeccably clean and service from both front desk and housekeeping was unbelievable. They really wanted to make us feel at home. Breakfast was also included and was good.

The only downsides were the slow internet connection and the location - convenient but not picturesque. But at the end of the day, we were not staying there for the scenery.

If I was staying in the Kitchener area again I would definitely stay here again.

We were on a long road trip across Ontario and Quebec and chose this hotel because it is just off the expressway (the 401) and was at a convenient stopping point in our trip for an overnight stay. We were traveling with three teens and the hotel staff was able to accommodate all of us in one room with the use of a roll-away cot.

Room was clean and up to date, as was the lobby area, as the hotel is relatively new. Rooms are on the small side, which is typical for Hampton Inns in our experience. Nothing fancy or spacious, just reliably clean and quiet also.

There is a pool, which looked nice but that we did not use as our stay was brief. There is also a free breakfast, offering scrambled eggs, waffles, cold serial, coffee, tea, juice, etc., that was basic but quite good. Again, the breakfast area was clean and up to date.

Price was a little more than usual for Hampton, but this is probably due to proximity to Toronto (about an hour away) and just that things in Canada tend to be priced a bit higher, in spite of the strong Canadian dollar these days.

Hotel is located in an area with a few chain restaurants (Kelsey's, Moose Winooski's, Boston Pizza, and others). The hotel will tell you they have a restaurant on site. Well, there is a Harvey's (chain burger place) and a small, non-descript Indian restaurant in the same parking lot, but I think you would do better walking or driving the short distance to other places.

We stay in the Kitchener-Waterloo Region very often and have stayed at most of of the Hotel/Motor Hotels. This property is the best overall, very clean, attentive staff, great value for your money. We really enjoy the salt water pool, the bed's are so comfortable with lot's of pillows. The breakfast is much better than your typical Hampton Inn and the evening snack is much more than a snack. The last time we stayed there the evening snack was Indian Cuisne, who da thunk? It was better than most Indian Restaurants I have been too.Don't let me throw you off for the evening snack because it changes every day,so if you don't like Indian not to worry,we just werent expecting this lovely suprise. The
morning Breakfast Hostess is the best I have ever experinced period. We have stayed at the Delta in downtown Kitchener and they could sure learn a thing or two from the Hampton Inn.

This hotel was a pleasant experience, maybe not the best I've ever had, but still pretty nice. The rooms are standard, the beds clean and comfy. The staff at the front desk was professional, but the lady at breakfast was hilarious! She was really talkative- almost too talkative as she wouldn't let us eat, but I know it wasn't meant to be rude or anything. She was just being friendly, and I can appreciate that.

Also, one more little tip- around 5pm, they began serving appetizers for free. I went down there out of curiosity and was surprised that it wasn't some chips and dip, but rather, chicken skewers, pasta salads, green salads, perogies, and cheese sticks.

There was also yummy Indian buffet next door too. Loved it.

My husband and I stayed here for a week-end get-a-way. We had a king studio suite.
What a beautiful, comfortable room. They thought of everything. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate in the lobby 24 hours.

Our room was very clean, even had snacks and a bottle of water. We had a mini fridge and microwave. There was a sofa and chair. The best part was the bed. So comfortable....like a nest. Lots of pillows and a down comforter.

Breakfast was included and was the norm. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Daily newspapers were available. The only problem was the location of the pool.

We were curious about the pool because it was a "salt water pool". However, we did not feel comfortable using it....it was right off the lobby. Had a very small hot tub...so we just did not feel comfortable using the pool because everyone could see in.

All in all I am very fussy about where I stay and I would stay here again anytime.
Place is so comfortable - you won't want to leave.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn, for around $30 with my employee discount, it was such a pleasant surprise. Free parking, amazing guest rooms, and free breakfast which was amazing. This is a great basic hotel, perfect if you are in the area visiting family, or driving through. I wouldnt reccommend for a romantic getaway, as there is no spa, or lounge. But i would definitly reccommend for someone looking for updated guestrooms, beautiful facility and great breakfast.
