The room is fine, the staff are friendly and helpful. But the music is enough to send anyone to sleep.
When people complain about the music and ask if they can have some music that you can dance to the guy who puts the music on just says that he is only allowed to play the top 40 country chart music - which is mostly slow music which no one wants to dance to.....
Wake up Stampede ....... Stop making people leave and fall asleep ----- put some decent fast music on --- We came to dance not to be made depressed.
When the band is on it is a great atmosphere and everyone gets up to dance. When the band goes off . The dull, slow, music tape is put on again. Nearly all slow stuff.
We came to party and the same happens every week -------
Last Friday a group of over 200 people came to dance and most of them said they would not return as the music was so bad. The band was good but the other music put to drone on put most people off the venue.

It's a country bar. Do you like country? Then it's a must. Even otherwise, it's the best collection of people and the most upbeat good time to be had in the city. People of pretty much every age go here, the dance floor is always busy on a Saturday night--the live (country) bands are always good. Or at least I haven't seen a bad one there yet. Staff are friendly. There's a mechanical bull now, if that's your thing. There's a patio. Plenty of places to sit. Plenty of friendly people. So unless country is REALLY not your thing--you should visit.

Located in a row of shops in a small plain shopping complex lies a hidden gem behind a plain old wooden door. A small entrance hall where the fee is only $3.50 for a fantastic setting complete with live entertainment for a night.

Having passed this place many times our party of 4 decided we would try it out and what a pleasant surprise we had. After paying the entrance fee we ventured into the club which is far larger than you could ever imagine from the outside. Well themed with wooden tables, chairs and looking like something from a western saloon bar. Maybe holds 600-700 when full and by 9.30pm when the band came on it was full. Now I must admit I do not know much about country music but the band that night certainly knew how to play their instruments and were excellent. We had arrived at 8.30pm along with a few others but by 9.30pm all seats were taken. The band played 2 sets and we left at 11.30pm whilst the 2nd set was still going. Now this place stays open to 2 in the morning so I presume the band would play yet another set. For the $3.50 this has to be fantastic value. I did see a mechanical bull in its own area but this was not yet up and running but I guess this is a regular for later in the evening after a few drinks have been consumed. Beer is the same price as the local pubs so no rip off being as it is a club.

An excellent night out and a very reasonable price. Recommended. Cowboy hats and check shirts are on display but optional. Enjoy
