This restaurant is NEW to the Kitchener area and opened up in early December 2011. It is right beside Turtle Jacks and I am sure will hurt their business in the short term.
Visited the restaurant twice in December.
The first visit was mid December on a Friday night. We arrived around 5:30 and were extremely busy. We had a party of 6 and they only had a table of 4 available....One couple was running behind so they sat us down so we could get a table and gave us the next bigger table available once the others arrived... very acccomodating. Our server went over the menu in great detail to educate us on their pub fare and they have BEER specials from 4-6.....They came back just before 6:00 to see if we wanted to take advantage of the cheaper beer. They have lots of IMPORT beers available as well. Great for the beer conniseur
Our party all enjoyed our food. We had various items, Beet and Flank steak salad (great if you like beets).... Steak and mushroom crock and Skillet mac and cheese were all favorites..
OUr second visit we went on New Years Eve to have dinner and listen to the band. We were a pary of 6 again and sat at the high tables in the bar area. Again, service was tremendous and food was tasty and the wait was not very long. At 10:00 a 2 man band came on and played cover tunes which was enjoyable......
Service, great food, comfortable atmosphere are all pluses for this new place.....Give it a try
