Fantastic food, extraordinary choices, great service. A bit on the pricey side but well worth it. Wine list is extensive. If in Midland, do not miss this place.

“1st time here.”

Harry and Carol, from the Tucked Inn B&B brought us here for out 23rd anniversary while staying with them. It is a nice and quaint place. The staff was attentive and the food was above average. I personally like the cream of mushroom soup. Our steaks were done to order and were tender.

“Manage Your Expectations”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2013

I visited this place for dinner based on the #2 rating on TripAdvisor. The wine list was wonderful for a relatively small restaurant in a small town. The service was very good, including not charging for a bad meal. I ordered the Argentinian steak. The striploin was poor quality, the chimichurri was not fresh, and the potatoes seemed pre-made. The whole meal was way too salty. I ate a few bites and stopped, which I don't recall ever doing before. My friend had the filet which she did manage to eat, but said the salt was over the top on that as well. I gave this place an average rating based on her experience. The menu tries too hard to do too much, and I suspect this is why some of the food did not seem fresh. It's hard to offer a variety of cuisines and deliver made to order. Not having tried many places in Midland, I can't offer comparison. But if you're a foodie, manage your expectations if visiting here.

“Fantastic food fantastic staff”

Here to the Tall Ships 1812. Followed a Trip Advisor recommendation and it was better that described. Easy to find just across from the Y. Didn't have a reservation but we got table on the patio, no problem. It was busy, and wait staff took care of us, professional and attentive. The food was truly excellent, steak fans will enjoy the Argentina steak, top grade beef and prepared so everything complements the beef. Actually the best restaurant experience for 2013 so far. Tip your wait staff well, they hustle and deserve it!
